Do you, or did you used to enjoy horse riding?

Grandma2213 Mon 12-Oct-15 23:40:33

Haven't done for years but it used to be my job as a 9 to 18 year old and did it in our first home when married. I would imagine I could still do it!

Can you put up wall paper?

NotTooOld Mon 12-Oct-15 21:53:55

Yes. I can bake alright and I can cook vegetables but if I have to cook a meal for more than three people I get in a dreadful panic.

Can you light a real fire without fire lighters?

Envious Mon 12-Oct-15 21:44:41

It's 65 years old

Does anyone think they are a terrible cook?

NotTooOld Mon 12-Oct-15 21:30:30

Fish and chips.

How old is your house?

shysal Mon 12-Oct-15 08:51:46

I think not, living in Oxfordshire all my life. However, DDs are often told that they sound like 'carrot crunchers'. Of course the local accent is far removed from the 'Oxford' accent!

What, if any, is your favourite take-away meal?

Leticia Mon 12-Oct-15 07:55:38

When I was younger but not for the last 30 years.

Do you speak with an accent?

loopylou Sun 11-Oct-15 20:09:24

Yes, I was a nurse

Have you ever been camping?

lefthanded Sun 11-Oct-15 18:17:42

Reversing an articulated vehicle. Took a long time to master but it's easy once you get the hang of it.

Since leaving school have you ever been in uniform?

Grandma2213 Sun 11-Oct-15 02:26:58

No. I was born in Northern Ireland, spent my childhood in Cumbria, a few years in North Wales and am now in Lancashire. I feel close bonds with all of these places. (Definitely a Northerner).

What is the most useful skill you have ever learned?

grannyqueenie Sat 10-Oct-15 18:22:44

I love the scent but it makes me wheeze so for me they have to stay outdoors.
Are you still living in the place where your born?

henetha Sat 10-Oct-15 10:50:57

Two . English and French.

Do you grow indoor bulbs in the winter? Hyacinths, narcissus?

Wheniwasyourage Sat 10-Oct-15 10:17:29

Never; can't be bothered and have never seen the point.

How many languages do you speak well enough to do some shopping or buy train ticket?

shysal Sat 10-Oct-15 08:42:26

I don't remember it ever happening since I was a teenager. sad

How often do you wear make-up?

Envious Sat 10-Oct-15 02:46:06

American biscuits, hash browns with onions, grits, smoked sausage patties and two eggs over easy

When was the last time a man flirted with you? grin

Grandma2213 Sat 10-Oct-15 01:43:53

I have two younger sisters (and three younger brothers). None of us are alike, personality wise though we look alike physically.

What would your last meal be? Mmm 'egg and chips'!

Leticia Fri 09-Oct-15 22:43:43

No

Do you have a sister?

shysal Fri 09-Oct-15 09:04:10

No! Another groan here!

Do you snore?

Grandma2213 Fri 09-Oct-15 00:11:54

Yes then bus later.

Are you looking forward to Christmas? (Virtual groan!!)

soontobe Thu 08-Oct-15 10:12:15

Leticia Thu 08-Oct-15 08:09:23

Being kind and reliable.

Did you enjoy your school days?

Grandma2213 Tue 06-Oct-15 23:32:34

I was 60 but by 65 had 5 grandchildren!

What would you like to be remembered for?

shysal Tue 06-Oct-15 09:04:40

My appearance! Otherwise I am perfect! grin

At what age did you first become a grandparent, if at all.

Grandma2213 Tue 06-Oct-15 02:17:02

I can be impulsive but not often. That makes it all the more surprising to others!

If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?

Auntieflo Mon 05-Oct-15 09:10:31

I didn't realise I was reading Page 1. Really must do better.
Are you impulsive?

Auntieflo Mon 05-Oct-15 09:06:58

I drink Red Bush tea when I'm fed up with Earl Grey or builders.
Do you lounge around in your jammies reading Gransnet in the morning?
