Yes, I thought they were very pretty, but am exceedingly glad that someone invented double glazing, as I wouldn't like them now!

shysal Fri 22-Jan-16 07:24:34

Never wear hats, find them claustrophobic, have plenty of hair for insulation.

Did you used to like the frost patterns on your windows as a child?

Bellanonna Mon 18-Jan-16 22:38:55

Do you wear a woolly hat in the cold weather ( or any kind. of hat, really) ?

grannylyn65 Mon 18-Jan-16 10:08:11

Only clear snow when car has vanished
My hair, like me, is short but not necessarily neat!!!

shysal Mon 18-Jan-16 08:53:23

Yes, I do. Love clearing snow too, although back-breaking.

What length is your hair?

Grandma2213 Mon 18-Jan-16 01:37:18

All my friends got chilblains Anya and I thought I was missing out as I didn't. I don't know why as my feet were probably just as wet and cold as theirs. My shoes often had holes in them!!!

Do you still build snowmen or throw snowballs? I love it!!!

Anya Sun 17-Jan-16 13:32:23

I run mine on the thermostat during the winter. I turn it down very low st night so it only kicks in if the temperature drops to 12o or less. I'm usually snuggled up under a 13.5 tog duvet with a hot water bottle by then.

Does anyone remember chilblains as a child? Nobody seems to suffer from them these days.

Bellanonna Sun 17-Jan-16 10:05:54

Yes. I walk in the road. So could end up in A&E either way, but at least on the road I can keep dodging in away from any cars. I love the crispy air and quietness of being out in the snow.

Do you keep the CH on overnight in cold spells ?
