Was going to post this in the science etc forum but most posts are about nature.
I think that no electricity is being used when my hairdryer is plugged into switched on wall socket (obviously hair drier not in use!). It doesn't have a LED or anything else in its innards which would use electricity. Ditto my electric kettle switched on at wall but not in use.
Have googled this but there are so many conflicting views.
Cookery books and other books - are you keeping them ?
What has survived in your garden with minimal or no watering?
