jogginggirl Sun 11-Oct-15 22:58:44

grin

Maggiemaybe Sun 11-Oct-15 22:54:53

Ha ha, birthday girl, crossed posts - you were right about those chocs!

Maggiemaybe Sun 11-Oct-15 22:53:32

And this time I remembered to take the pedometer out of my pocket before throwing the jeans to wash!

jogginggirl Sun 11-Oct-15 22:52:18

Anya I'll fight yer for the strawberry creams!! Mind you I haven't seen Maggie on here recently - I'll bet she's scoffed the lot hmm

Did have a couple of glasses wine today as I celebrated with DD and her boyfriend/partner/live-in and the Diva - it was lovely and DH made me a g/f chocolate birthday cake with candles and everything - oh I am a spoilt bitch girl sometimes shock

"When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now .....
night night moon

Maggiemaybe Sun 11-Oct-15 22:51:10

Oh dear, so sorry, JG and Anya, the strawberry creams had all gone before I saw your request wink. As had the rest of the box, actually - it was the stress of the ever ongoing and ruddy pointless arguing about the hospital in Downton, I needed some comfort food!

Weekly target reached, and I'm girding my loins for week 2......
smile

Anya Sun 11-Oct-15 22:45:46

Washing machines and modern technology just don't mix well do they Maggie?

So far I have washed, two mobiles, a Kindle Fire and that pedometer. The pedometer was the only item that survived. I'm a dozy cow sometimes hmm

Anya Sun 11-Oct-15 22:42:49

Get off!

Birthday or no birthday the strawberry creams are mine - nobody else usually wants them anyway confused

Well stayed off the plonk tonight, but didn't get my steps in. The plan was to walk into town to see the Mop, but after having my granddaughters dumped on me the unexpected pleasure if a visit from my lovely granddaughters, by the time their parents remembered to picked them up I was so knackered tired I really CBA couldn't raise any enthusiasm to get out the house and collapsed on the sofa with my Kindle.

Well done JG and Happy Birthday for tomorrow, in case I don't get on here early tomorrow.

jogginggirl Sun 11-Oct-15 10:01:20

It's a beautiful morning - perfect conditions to wear yourself out go for a run grin

Birthday tomorrow Maggie but thank you - I'll store the wishes and if you could keep me a strawberry soft centre (still not chewing well due to dentist visit) that would be a real treat smile I tend to take advantage of birthdays and they run for about a week or so shock

Bacon butty time now wink

Maggiemaybe Sun 11-Oct-15 09:24:09

Well, I've just availed myself of a bounteous hotel buffet, no stinting involved, so need to do a lot more sightseeing today!

Anya, DH was asking yesterday whether my pedometer was still working, as in his mind my previous ones weren't reliable. He'd forgotten that one fell from my jeans pocket down the toilet and version 2 went through a full hot wash. grin

Is it your birthday today JG? Many happy returns if it is! flowers I'd share my chocs with you if I could (honest!).

Anya Sun 11-Oct-15 09:02:53

Nice morning here for running JG hope it's the same where you are.

jogginggirl Sun 11-Oct-15 08:55:58

O.K. The fitbit is on.
The running shoes are on.
Let's go.
grin

jogginggirl Sat 10-Oct-15 23:08:13

Oh Maggie I haven't been able to stop thinking about your chocolates all night - I'm thinking of nicking borrowing something from the GC's treats box shock It might help me forget that because I didn't 'connect' this morning I don't have a step count to bring to the table tonight sad

However, my mum was happy to see us - we set up the Careousel to help with her medication and now have our fingers crossed that this contraption is indeed 'idiot proof' smile

Two small glasses of red tonight and tomorrow - let the birthday celebrations begin - a day early grin

Night night all moon

Anya Sat 10-Oct-15 22:44:01

i did the steps (just) and had two long G&Ts (quite strong ones too) and now I feel very sleepy and a tad weepy. I shouldn't drink gin, it always has the same effect on me.

Both my 'children' are like that Maggie a box of chocolates will last for months. It just isn't normal, is it?

Water infections are one of those things that happened regularly with MiL. We reckoned she wasn't drinking enoigh because she was afraid of having 'accidents' and that, at least was partly to blame. An unfortunate side effect was she would become quite confused at these times, or rather even more confused than normal. This growing old business is not funny, is it?

Well done Ana and Anno for nearly getting there and getting closer. Of course it helps if you remember to tool up and record your steps Ana & JG grin
I once put my pedometer in the wash, but happily heard the clunk after only a few minutes. I took it apart and put it in a jar of dry rice and a few days later it came back to life.

So moon I'm half asleep and need an early night.

Maggiemaybe Sat 10-Oct-15 17:33:53

Oh no, ladies, don't waste your time doing all that walking without making sure you've something about your person to record it! shock

I've got sore feet and a good result today - we're having a weekend away and it's surprising how many steps we've taken what with sightseeing and getting lost!

No, Anya, DH won't eat the chocs. He's one of those annoying people who just has the one and puts the lid back on (then is actually surprised when he lifts it off a week later to find a box full of empty wrappers) grin

jogginggirl Sat 10-Oct-15 15:16:23

Oh for goodness sake!!! I put my Fitbit on first thing 'cos I knew I would be out all day and I've just tapped it to see how I'm doing... Guess what? I've forgotten to replace the sensor - it's still charging at home hmmangryshock

jogginggirl Sat 10-Oct-15 10:09:07

Ha ha space will have to remain empty until tomorrow morning Anya - need to deliver antibiotics to my mum - an hour's driving each way - she has a water infectionsad
Muscles still complaining after yesterday's exercise session as well.
Well done EVERYONE on stepping - and errmmmm .... wine-drinking and chocolate-eating
shockwinkgrin

annodomini Sat 10-Oct-15 09:42:40

I'm getting there. 3000 yesterday thanks to a bit of extra time in the garden centre. I'll soon be up to the 5K. grin

Ana Sat 10-Oct-15 09:27:39

Sorry, forgot to post yesterday but on Thursday I very nearly reached 5,000 so I know it can be done! Yesterday, however, I realised when I changed my top to go out in the afternoon that I had forgotten to put my pedometer in my bra...shock

It's there today though!

Anya Sat 10-Oct-15 09:16:42

Think I might have overdone it this week as my knees ache sad

So now I'm a VVBSP (Very Virtuous But Sore Person] hmm

Watching this space JG

Maggie shame on you! It's entirely your own fault if your DH eats the rest of the chocolates - don't you know that it's better to finish the box and get it over and done with? shock

Maggiemaybe Fri 09-Oct-15 23:49:12

Oh, dear, I didn't stop with the curry, I've had another glass of red wine and a big handful a couple of Roses chocolates. I've had to get my DH to hide the box. I'll fight him for it tomorrow.

jogginggirl Fri 09-Oct-15 23:43:14

I bow down to you Anya you are a VGBBP... I have enjoyed 2xglasses red wine tonight and that makes me a VNBFP (Very Naughty But Funny Person) or so my DH saysshock
Will I run tomorrow- watch this space hmm

Anya Fri 09-Oct-15 23:30:03

Now I'm fancying one as a takeaway tomorrow night. Trouble is our best local curry house burned down about a month ago and doesn't look likely to open any time soon.

Anyway I've been a Very Good But Boring Person and completed my steps and abstained from the vino again. Might have a glass of Cobra tomorrow night if we decide on a curry though.
