I've managed 3500 steps today - easing back in so knee doesn't start playing up again. Only had tiny glass of
tonight and no snacking either. So feeling more in control.

We had an early start to get there, picking up DD2 and DGS2 en route, a lovely big Italian meal out with the family, a couple of Peronis, and there I was gone, spark out, felled in the middle of a lively conversation. I'm such a lightweight - DH had done the driving, DS - who is, incidentally, 13 years older than me in years but not in energy - had made us a lovely lunch and sorted out the bedrooms, etc, and they were both full of beans when I took me off to bed at 10. I wouldn't care if I'd done a lot of brisk steps, but no, just 2400. 
No doubt I'll be calling it something slightly more earthy after a few hours of Monster Mash tomorrow!

I said I would make up for it on my stepper tonight, but I have just flopped down after a day of making cheese and twiglet broomsticks, ghostly biscuits, chipolata mummies etc, seeing them demolished by my dear family and clearing up the devastation afterwards. I've also taken down the spooky decorations, got the cloak off and the jeans back on and scrubbed off the witchy makeup, prior to settling down to Downton.
