IN this one Salome is wearing a practical dress of red silk - the bloodstains will vanish. She looks very well-nourished, but not as much so as her mother, Herodias (in yellow.) King Herod looks a bit peeved. I think he was expecting to be presented with the roast swan that someone is carrying head-high in the background.

I'd go for a binbag, but remember they hadn't been invented in ???? BC Take off a petticoat to wrap it in?
