well this morning has been one of geat dithering and anxiety more so because E's plan was up,breakfast,shower bus to school,it appears that the collection times have been changed and she wasn't aware,this has thrown her into a great panic and we have resumed the rabbit caught in headlights mode,she is not ready to deal with this and asked her friend to collect and post to her ....not sure I can cope with another few days of this drama ..poor kid .......good luck to your DGD's Anniebach and Merlot

Thankfully, DGD did well so has gone out for a celebratory lunch with her mates. She's worried about her chemistry grade because she needed an A and got a B so it seems no matter how well you do there is still anxiety lurking somewhere unless you are exceptionally brilliant and get straight As

Downtoearth, the poor girl and poor you, an even longer wait, how cruel.

A good result for us , a re sit for maths but this was expected , interview for the sixth form and A Level subject choices also settled , between A Level and GCSE results in the same month I am quite exhausted

Am feeling quite despondent on her behalf,she is dreading the results.
She knows she has made mistakes in being rebellious through a fear of not coping with the pressure..and she didn't cope at all.
we have now learnt today that an apprenticeship that has been dangled like a carrot for the last 8 months in partnership with the school and a community project has been rejected,we have heard this through a third party at the community project.
She accepts that her behaviour in refusing to do an exam was a deciding factor in the decision.
she has faced rejection at a young age with repeated applications for jobs with too few places being available for many applicants.
Hence the fear of her exam results.
sixth form college at her school is not really an option for her now.
we now have to try and find a college course available before September,that can at least give her a foundation level place so that she can at least be in a place of education ....to say this last year of school has been extremely stressful is an understatement,and now I need to stay strong and positive to support her through this,and feel like I am scraping the barrel of my reserves. Think I may retire to my bed an have the vapors today or at least a VERY large

Downtoearth, that she is loved so deeply by you will strengthen her, together you will find a way for her to continue her studies and she will shine , take care of yourself too x
