Heavy rain is forecast all day in North Leicestershire but luckily, apart from nipping out in the car to collect some plates that DD used for a wedding, our only job is to order some food for DH's birthday lunch.

Continuing with furniture painting and re-covering my sewing work box with the gold velvet from a pair of old curtains, so the rain doesn't matter, but it's still not welcome!

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Rain forecast so we are off to stock up at the supermarket and then resting after a great day at the Anniversary Games in the sun yestetday.

We have a lovely bright sunny start in Northumberland, but rain is forecast for lunchtime. It's a pity, because my DD and DGC are staying for the week and we are going to the Greenhead Duck Day this afternoon. We will have to get the waterproofs out! The grey clouds are gathering as I write.

Hello everyone.

Not very nice here in Plymouth today, pouring down when I got up a couple of hours ago, but it seems to have stopped now, but it's overcast, dreary and chillier than of late. I even put the living room fire on briefly!

A lazy day indoors today, I think!

Definitely a stay at home day, raining in the Cotswolds, DS and family are off to a BBQ!!, I can just scruff around and catch up on iPlayer

It always makes me smile when the word Herefordshire is underlined in red by the spell-check - they've clearly never heard of it! I sometimes have trouble when ordering items over the phone as the person at the other end will not believe this is not Hertfordshire!
