to the next poster.
[I have copied this from mumsnet]

What is your favourite colour?

Juliette Thu 13-Aug-15 13:12:06

No, not a grandfather clock but a Vienna wall clock which belonged to my grandparents. It's tick and chime is a sound from my childhood.

On the theme of time...do you wear a watch or rely on your mobile 'phone?

soontobe Thu 13-Aug-15 12:53:46

No problem NanKate.

I am not sure about my biggest disaster. I boil vegetables dry and burnt occasionally.

Do you have a grandfather clock?

NanKate Thu 13-Aug-15 12:02:25

Sorry Soon we crossed in the ether.

NanKate Thu 13-Aug-15 12:01:38

Yes got some fab brightly coloured varifocal glasses made by Ronit Furst. Quite a few of my friends have said nothing about them so they don't like them I suspect, however I am regularly asked by strangers where I got them from. I love them. smile

What us your biggest disaster in the kitchen?

soontobe Thu 13-Aug-15 12:00:47

Just for distance. But I was told last time that my eyes will deteriorate a lot in the next few years and I will need glasses for reading.
My next optician's appointment is in two weeks time. I have started to notice that I cant read so well in poor light, so we shall see.
Long answer. But oh well.

Agree with Indiana. lacwhedy, your question will make an interesting thread. If you get stuck starting it, we will be happy to instruct you.

Do you have a grandfather clock?

shysal Thu 13-Aug-15 11:40:01

Not since I was at DD2's house when the roof was struck!

Do you wear glasses for reading, distance or neither?

MiniMouse Thu 13-Aug-15 10:38:01

Too lazy casual to bother most days

Do you enjoy thunder storms?

Indinana Thu 13-Aug-15 10:20:20

Natural since I developed psoriasis on my scalp.

Do you wear make-up every day even if you're not going out? (For granddads, read 'do you shave every day etc.. grin)

Bellanonna Thu 13-Aug-15 09:55:01

One

Natural hair colour, or "helped" ?

Indinana Thu 13-Aug-15 09:48:19

Iacwhedy I think you might get a better response if you start a new thread to ask about this. This thread is just a game thread, where you are supposed to answer the question in the previous post and then ask a question of your own. It's just for fun, and your more serious question will just get lost in the mists of time.

lacwhedy Thu 13-Aug-15 09:38:43

Are there any Gransnetters who served in the forces during the war??

ninathenana Thu 13-Aug-15 08:47:42

No, never.

What is currently your favourite TV programme?

Bellanonna Thu 13-Aug-15 08:32:35

Love browsing but don't own any.

Do you/ have you ever belong/ed to a book club?

ninathenana Thu 13-Aug-15 08:14:40

Welcome Thrillednanny you'll love it here.
Firstly there is a thread explaining all the abbreviations if you search.
Second this thread is a bit of a game. Someone asks a question and the next poster answers and asks their own question. If you go back a few pages when it was going quiet smoothly
it should become clear. See below.

No I don't remember seeing the comet.

Do you like antiques?

Falconbird Thu 13-Aug-15 05:49:28

I didn't see the meteors here in the W. Country.

Did you see the Hale Bopp Comet some years ago? (I remember it well.)

Grandma2213 Thu 13-Aug-15 01:43:17

ninathenana I don't think it's run out of steam, just got a little confused!

Did you watch the meteors tonight? (For once in the North we got a brilliant show - wow!)

Thrillednanny Thu 13-Aug-15 00:56:52

Being new to this site I just looked at the 'questions' above & am totally baffled. What ARE you all talking about?!?
My question is would somebody please explain what all the abbreviations mean. There are so many & next question (maybe irrelevantly!) where will I find your answers!! Here's hoping...

ninathenana Thu 13-Aug-15 00:17:04

Has this thread run out of steam ?

ninathenana Wed 12-Aug-15 17:37:21

DD is left handed. I am ambidextrous.

ninathenana Wed 12-Aug-15 17:36:06

Helena1 yes I love purple grin

Was that a question or an answer ?

Helena1 Wed 12-Aug-15 15:44:09

Purple...

Falconbird Wed 12-Aug-15 12:35:07

I don't have one but I know people who use them and like them.

Are there many left handed people in your family? There are four in mine.

ninathenana Wed 12-Aug-15 11:01:44

Mmmm, Jersey Royals with minted butter.

Do you use your local farm shop. If you have one ?

MiniMouse Wed 12-Aug-15 10:28:56
