I do pop in occasionally, and WOW how do some folk get wound up.

We all look forward to some sun, warm weather, but on some threads it appears to me some posters are downright nasty.

Addled brains ,or too much Pimms.

Enjoy the weather whilst it lasts, winter is coming soon.

That is so true. You've hit the nail on the head again.

I'm not getting at anyone jingl just passing a comment about how I see GN now. But, there are ways of putting the opposite point of view that are fairly gentle which is what is needed if someone is so 'upset' that they feel the need for some support.

I have had loads of support on GN, and hopefully, been able to give some. I have been very upset about the way a close family member has been treated over the last few days but feel reluctant to mention it on here because of all the harshness. sad

hmm is the heat affecting GN poster? Maybe you should all move over here to N.Ireland to cool down grin

Today we have gale force winds, temp struggling to reach 14C and driving rain!!! Those feeling the heat should count yourselves lucky!

I seem to recall that jollyg posted a rather nasty comment fairly recently, which was MOST uncalled for.

So do I phoenix - a few actually.

And I suspect it predated the heatwave, so I wonder what the excuse was?

This thread and so many others, quite a few of them recently, are just like that story: It was a dark and stormy night and the captain said to the bo'sun, "Tell us a story". The bo'sun began, 'It was a dark and stormy night and the captain said to the bo'sun, 'Tell us a story'…and it is just about as interesting.

well I haven't been winding anyone up recently apart from the thread about Wimbledon and everyone ignored me. Oh well that's life. Ive been sooo bored that I actually watched a couple of matches one afternoon and it wasn't so bad.
I really must think of some 'windy up' remarks soon to liven things up a bit or you will all think Ive gone soft.grin

Ana Mon 06-Jul-15 21:07:15

Don't worry ethel, there are plenty of other winder-uppers around to keep us going until you get back on form! wink

ana Im just having a rest period, my 'windy up' bits are recuperating.
It has been said my brains are in my a***e anyway so my recent op must have affected them.

Ana Mon 06-Jul-15 21:34:41

I'm sure they'll soon recover, ethel! smile
