I read the comments as jokingly sarcastic, provoked by other comments. Which is fine. And anyway Englishness is not a race so even being nasty about "the English" is not racism. It may be stupid to bunch all English people (or any other identifiable group that has a name) together as if they were all the same, but it's not racist.

I think we are 10 short of a standard (!?) coven. But the advert on TV at the moment has just said their witch experts will send a free pensions guide. Perhaps they will send an invitation to join with all those going to Yorkshire. On second thoughts that may have been Which experts

Just found out that my grandson asked where the cupboard was with the broomsticks when he started at the high school. He thought all schools were like Hogwarts. He was born in York. I presume he did not ask in front of the other pupils, just when he was shown round with his mother.

I agree we, Yorkshire folk, have always done things our own way so we can form a coven with as many or as few as we like.

We have such a wide choice of meeting places too. We could go to the wild coast or the moors or the wolds or the gentle valleys.

I was talking about the NHR (National Housewives' Register) which became NWR (Women's) as the years past, on another thread the other day . Perhaps we could form NCR (National Coven's Register) so we could visit (fly) all over the country. I should have to avoid any flying motorways I think
