Oh noooooo....

Last week DH said he'd read about some research into ear worms, in America, I think, but I wasn't really paying attention, unfortunately. Anyway, the upshot was that the best way of getting rid of them was by chewing - for quite a while, I think, so chewing gum rather that a biscuit, I imagine. Needless to say, I haven't been bothered by an ear worm since, so haven't tried it, but if anyone wants to give it a go and report back, feel free!

Personally I'd rather have an ear worm than my incessant Tinnitus........

I'm sure if I tried the chewing-gum trick I'd just be chewing along in time with the ear work...

I have never heard the term ear worms. I passed this thread by as I have a weak stomach and wasn't up to reading about worms in people's ears. Then I braced myself and well, who would have guessed, not me, obviously.

I quite like earworms as they are preferrable to the worryworms which often haunt me. For a few days now I've got Linden Lea,- ever since we mentioned it in another thread recently, - I'm trying to remember the words.

Ana, I was the same age as you in 1962 exactly,so unfortunately had heard this song many times,but not for a long time until I saw the YouTube clip.I chose my name as it was a favourite skipping rhyme, and I lived to skip at primary school.
Elegran I really love Blueberry Hill, I can hear Fats Waller singing it in my head now!I love the U.S. Southern accent so he sings 'apart' as 'oport' I wouldn't mind this ear worm all the time.
