Crafting Stop stirring!! grin

Crafting Tue 19-May-15 19:42:00

What me! grin

Just looking at the various threads on GN and have found in order

"What are you wearing today?"
"Sloggi knickers"
"A front fastening bra"
"Pre-fall collection"
Presumably the latter was just prior to the front fastening bra becoming undone and the knickers falling down!

Sorry just my sense of humour!

A few years ago we were on a package holiday in Italy. The group we were with at lunch were quite posh. I suggested to Mrs P. that we drop hints that we ran a house of ill repute !, but she wouldn't go along with it, I could have enjoyed the ruse. grin

Having a horrible week with my transgender offspring threatening suicide on the net.
It's really depressing me and my darling daughter.
Not helped by the fact that my DH died 12 years ago this week.
Sorry to moan on here when Bella has much more need of sympathy, but nowhere else to say how depressed I am.

kittylester Tue 19-May-15 21:04:30

(((Hugs))), Galen. What a worry for you. Is this a side effect of his treatment or is it because of his situation?

Thoughts are with Bella and her family and her hope here son gets home in time. Give her our live soop.

Fabulous news pompa, you must be so relieved.

loopylou Tue 19-May-15 21:05:53

Oh Galen, don't apologise for moaning, I'm not surprised you're depressed.
I just wish I could think of some way to help, words are so inadequate at times like this, when you have so much to deal with.
((Hugs)) and hoping things improve very soon x

pompa Tue 19-May-15 21:19:50

Galan, we are here to listen and support all those that need it. Kids, they talk about the terrible twos, in my experience it hasn't ended yet. WE love them and when it goes wrong it hurts.

annodomini Tue 19-May-15 21:26:53

Galen, we're here for you and you can moan as much as you like. flowers

dustyangel Tue 19-May-15 21:29:16

Galen I think we all in the kitchen understand that however much we care about other peoples problems, it doesn't make our own go away. I hope things improve soon.
(((hugs))) and flowers

thatbags Tue 19-May-15 21:32:02

Bella and family, such a hard time for you all flowers.

galen, thinking of you and your offspring. Keep strong flowers.

Glad to hear the good news, pompa.

Crafting Tue 19-May-15 21:37:02

So sorry Galen. What a difficult time you are having. It's hard enough to cope with our own worries but when our children are suffering it is worse somehow. ((Huggs))

Galen Tue 19-May-15 22:04:59

Thanks

janerowena Tue 19-May-15 22:18:22

I agree, DS was fine last week, down this week, but although I am worrying about it, for all I really know he could be over it now that he has dumped it on me. Your Ds on the other hand has some huge changes ahead of him that will affect everything in his/her life. Even if they shouldn't. Hopefully the fact he has made it so public means it's a cry for help and to get it off his chest, rather than anything worse. Doing what he is doing is very brave, it must be quite scary.

Nelliemoser Tue 19-May-15 22:46:52

Crafting grin grin These threads which go like that one after one another amuse me. They are worth looking out for.

Nelliemoser Tue 19-May-15 22:55:14

There seems to be so many of you having a really dreadful time at present or you are worring about others. My thoughts are with all of you. flowers

rosequartz Tue 19-May-15 23:06:40

Galen it must be very difficult, we can't take their hurt away, and we can't pick them up and kiss them better as we did when they were little. flowers

kittylester Wed 20-May-15 07:27:15

Looks as though I'm first in this morning! So, here's a pile of hot buttered toast, the coffee is on, as is the kettle, and the leaves are in the pot.

I hope everyone is as well as can be this morning!

(((Hugs))) for all who need them.

pompa Wed 20-May-15 07:34:32

Good morning Kitty, thanks for morning sustenance.

Ordered an item from Agos this morning, they asked me to print off the reservation form and bring it to collect the item. Simples. or is it, the item is a replacement printer for the one that broke yesterday hmm

baubles Wed 20-May-15 10:03:02

Good morning kitcheners.

We've had some good news, DH's prostate biopsy results show no cancer. His consultants have, for several years, been convinced of the presence of a tumour but just have been unable to locate it. This latest biopsy was under general anaesthetic and involved a 3 day hospital stay and a 3 week wait for the outcome.

His exams finish tomorrow so on Friday we can have a celebratory lunch. smile

I'm so sorry that so many of you are having dreadful troubles just now.

annodomini Wed 20-May-15 10:22:26

Sod's law, pompa. If I have to take a copy of an order when I 'click and collect' I take it on my smart phone because I still haven't worked out how to operate my new printer.

annodomini Wed 20-May-15 10:24:31

baubles, never apologise for good news. We need a spark of hope on a gloomy morning. Enjoy your celebration. flowers wine

Soutra Wed 20-May-15 10:28:07

Happy for you and Mr Baubles !

Galen Wed 20-May-15 11:12:50

pompa
I did that once on a cruise. I convinced the whole table that I was the Madam of a very exclusive establishment.
I let the wives into the secret after a couple of days, but the husbands believed me. They were policemen!
I think they were disappointed when I 'fessed up?smile

Crafting Wed 20-May-15 11:16:58

I'm with you anno. We are hopefully all here to support each other during hard times but equally to celebrate the good things. So pleased for you and your DH baubles what a relief. Hope you enjoy your meal. smile

It sounds as though you will have to handwrite your reservation form Pompa. On the other hand you could order one of those new fangled 3D printers and use it to print yourself a new printer confused

flowers for Bella and Galen all those who are worried for their loved ones.

kittylester Wed 20-May-15 11:44:24
