Sunny day in Birmingham. We are taking our granddaughter out for her tea after school smile

Hello everyone. Cold grey day here in Co. Down after a glorious one yesterday. My big news today is that our new kitchen is finished at last after 3 weeks of noise and mess. Planning to get cleaning done and begin to return kitchen contents to their new home. It all looks lovely. grin

Good morning, just got power back on, it's been off since 3.30 this morning hmm
Looking like it's brightening up outside but pretty chilly.

I sympathise with your DGD Gagagran, I do hope she's grows out of it soon, poor lass.

Good morning all. After a very windy night it is a bright sunny morning and a much more enjoyable temperature. We have even got a proper blue sky instead of a white one.

Enjoy your weekend everyone. sunshine

Good morning. It's sunny here in Cheshire. I need to plant up my pots with the plants that arrived last weekend. Last night I came in from the theatre and could see, when the security light went on, that some plants were drooping, so had to do emergency late night watering.

daffydil Fri 15-May-15 09:13:58

P.S. - should be 'your' DGD not 'our'

Good morning from a bright and breezy Chelmsford.
So sorry to hear of our DGD's problem Gagagran. She is young to have to cope with that every month but I am sure she is in good hands.

Gagagran Fri 15-May-15 09:00:28

Thank you ann - I appreciate your post. She has arrived - still pale and wan and unlike her normal sparkly self but is now nibbling on a bit of toast and has nothing to do but relax in our quiet, loving care.

annsixty Fri 15-May-15 08:53:15

flowers for your DGD Gagagran it is awful for someone so young to have this monthly. My DD has always suffered ,she has PCOS, and now at nearly 50 she is hoping for the menopause to end it.

Gagagran Fri 15-May-15 08:32:40

Had an emergency call from school yesterday, to collect DGD (13) who was unwell. She is coming here again today as DD has a work commitment and DSiL is away at a conference until tonight. It's a female problem - she had an ovarian cyst removed last year and has had problems every month since poor love. Lots of TLC and quiet time today - maybe a paracetamol and hottie if she is still in pain. It's not easy growing to womanhood. At least the sun is out today after the deluge yesterday.

Happy day everyone! sunshine

Good morning all. About 12 hours of rain yesturday but it's stopped now. Grey day though.
No builders now until Monday when it's due to rain again!

Have a good weekend everyone.

Good morning everyone.
Lovely bright sunshine, but quite cold here in Northumberland. I had a sad greeting when I got home from work. Lying on the doorstep of our conservatory was a dead dunnock. Poor little thing, they don't understand glass and windows. I laid it to rest under a tall thick conifer hedge. Happier news later I hope
Enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

PRINTMISS Fri 15-May-15 07:33:58

Good morning to you all, and it is a bright fresh morning here, after about 5 hours of steady rain yesterday which we desperately needed for the garden (thank you Phoenix). Off for our sons' review this morning, a general meeting between staff and ourselves, maybe someone from Social Services, and certainly Robert who enjoys these discussions, even though he cannot talk he joins in, and lets you know if he is happy or not, in no uncertain way. Enjoy your days.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Poured from mid morning until night yesterday, bright and dry promised.
Early start today dropping DS off for day trip to the battlefields of Belgium at 5.30 and DGS1 arrived at 6.15. Wish I had the energy of a 4 year old!

Good morning, Mick.
It's lovely here in the north of Scotland too. I'm looking forward to playing Scrabble with U3A this morning.
