Thomas Bernard arrived this morning at 7.20, weighing in at 7 lbs 14 oz.

DD had a ventouse (I don't yet know why) but was only in labour 7 hours.

Big sister coming here to be looked after today, so we will make a big fuss of her, and take her to see her little brother later.

I am very glad that this little boy has arrived safe and well!

And many congratulations to you too, Nelliemoser! flowers

These little ones bring so much love and joy, don't they? smile

Nelliemoser Wed 06-May-15 10:48:47

They do look so small. DGS2 was a 1lb heavier than his big brother but to me he still looked very small. I am now wondering if he was just plumper rather than longer. Do they measure babies length any more?

bikergran Wed 06-May-15 10:20:52

Congrats to all...a little ray of sunshine well done.

Mishap Wed 06-May-15 10:10:31

But don't they look small! I am always astounded by how tiny they are! And they seem so fragile - how this little chap will survive his "big" (2 years and 3 months) sister's affectionate embraces I cannot imagine! When we went to see him at home yesterday she was taking his hat on and off, and stroking him with unbridled enthusiasm!

DD is very sore after a ventouse, which she also had with the first - but once again she managed on a bit of paracetamol, a TENS machine and a whiff of entonox during the ventouse - brave girl. But very tired!

Nelliemoser Wed 06-May-15 07:48:24

Us Grannies, cannot resist a newborn can we. I picked up my new little one in hospital last Tuesday and all those feelings of maternal love came rushing back.

Nelliemoser Wed 06-May-15 07:45:16
