Good evening all,
As some may know, yesterday would have been my DS2's birthday, he died aged 19 in December 2008.
Yesterday I had a little toddle to the church yard to where my beloved step father is buried, and where DS2's ashes are buried in the same plot.
But what completely "blew me away" were the posts on my sons FB page, so many of his friends and extended family had posted such lovely messages, I was (to quote the vernacular) gobsmacked.
Seven or so years later, there were messages, I wasn't surprised to see them for the first couple of years, but to see his peer group (age wise) still remembering and posting was incredibly touching! I especially liked the odd one along the lines of "Oi!, keep the party noises down mate, some of us are trying to get some sleep here!"
Anyway, to justify the OP, I am so proud that my darling boy is so fondly remembered with such affection and for so long. (I know it's not that long in the great scheme of things, but hopefully you will know what I mean, youngsters move on so quickly, and rightly so)
If you have, then thank you for reading this!
