We bought our offspring a box of chocolates each for Easter, but haven't as yet seen DS. Today I sneaked a few chocolates from the box and secretly ate them unknown by DH 
Now not sure whether to own up or finish them without saying anything!
Finish them.

DS had a box of chocs a girlfriend had given him. He didn't eat them for ages for sentimental reasons . In the end I opened them carefully, scoffed the lot, carefully closed the box up again, and he kept the empty box for ages without knowing the difference. 
That is sooooo good
Go on, finish the box. Then throw it away and, once the binmen have been, ask your DH all innocently 'can you remember where we put that box of chocolates we bought for DS?'
Why do you feel you have to hide what you've done from your DH? You could always let him have some...

I have a bar of chocolate hidden in a drawer in the bedroom and if I feel in urgent need of chocs I eat them surruptiously. I wonder sometimes if MrNK can smell it on my breath.
Reading this reminds me that my neighbour gave me 4 x Easter Eggs for my DGCs and they are still under the shelf in the hall cupboard 
But why are you all so secretive about your chocolate-eating habits? I honestly don't understand - you're not children. What would your respective DHs say or do? Very !
