I am a granny again another boy Leo William. Don't know the weight yet. DD managed to get a birthing pool. She loved the experience. DD must be exhausted as she did not sleep much last night. I was rung by other Granny as I was putting our joint Grandson to bed.

Bella your DH is in the best place being cared for by the staff. I would have at least x2 glasses of wine or whatever- who is going to know and if you get a better night's sleep, so be it. You deserve

Don't tinies somehow sense the stress quotient and fling it back at you on the form of a meltdown? There is no need to feel mortified, anyone witnessing must have sympathised in a " been there, got the T shirt" way. Little loves horrors! Best wishes to your DH for all the bloods and sincere hopes that the internal bleeding can be stopped. I know the risk of the P E but one reason Warfarin is popular, despite being a slightly "crude" anti-coag is that in the event of say, an accident or major bleed a Vit K shot reverses the anti-clotting factor so that the blood can clot normally. How they balance the risks at both ends of the scale I have no idea, but fortunately, the medics do!
Enjoy that with a clear conscience, you have more than earned it.

@ Bella. Our GS had meltdowns during the terrible two stage, never could handle them, he grew out of them over 12 months or so. I won't tell you what came next

Oh crumbs, I guess I have yet to face DGS throwing a major headfit.......30 minutes of increasing fractiousness at the end of a two hour flight 10 months ago nearly polished me off (and all the rest of the passengers ) so that's another joy to not look forward to!

Not much change today, although DH has been moved to a different ward. He is still having blood transfusions as he's bleeding internally.

I'm ignoring my doctor's orders and imbibing a large but it has been a trying day. DGD threw a horrendous and embarrassing fit in the supermarket today. I was mortified as my own children never did such things so I didn't quite know how to handle the meltdown

Oh well, tomorrow is another day

numberplease most charities will take clothes that you would normally bin because they are paid by weight to get rid of any clothes that they cannot sell.

You just take care of yourself with that shoulder Soop. I`m getting a lot of pain in my neck and arms lately, even in bed, but it`s a bit of a bind, plus expensive taxi fare, going to the GP, plus we`ve been a fair few times with hubby, can`t be bothered for me right now.
We had a phone call on Friday afternoon, they`re coming to fit something in that bedroom doorway tomorrow, I just hope it`s what we need, as when it was ordered the other week it was said to be discontinued.
I`ve been upstairs sorting out unwanted clothing, there are 2 bin bags for when we get bags through the door asking for clothes, 2 more slightly better stuff for the charity shop, and one more bagfull has gone into the bin. And I`ve not finished yet, just had enough for today.

It was Word Rummikub last night, and you know how bad my spelling is. Can't cope with S&L more than once a week at my age.

It cannot be blamed on the ironing, Charleygirl as it is my left shoulder that pains me. I've just finished our ironing. Tomorrow...back to tackle that of my pal.

Agus How is your shoulder? Funny thing is, since you mentioned that you were in a lot of discomfort, my shoulder has flared up after a good few months of being absolutely pain free. The GP did say that the cortisone injection would not cure the condition. Looks like I shall need another before too long.

Charleygirl All I can say for certain is that my feather duster is bald. Behind the sofa however...there is a veritable mountain of feathers. That pompa thinks that he can sweet-talk his way out of anything...I know his type.

Bella. My thoughts are with you and your DH. I am hoping this recent setback can be sorted out soon.

soop are you absolutely certain that it was not Rory's tail swishing past? pompa seems to spend time entertaining ladees behind the sofa- he calls it snakes and ladders- times have changed.

Hello to all our darling Granspal Kitcheners. It's chilly here in bonnie Kintyre. Today I needed to wear my heavy cape and woolly gloves. Whereas last week it was something light and spring-like.

Purpledaffodil Our very good pal has been suffering with micro bleeds in his brain. Hence the move to full time care. He imagines that he'll "get back to normal" and "go home"...If only.

What a brave lady you are Bella to you. This clot problem is so worrying. Mr P has atrial fibrillation so should have Warfarin, but has had haemmorhagic strokes and micro bleeds in his brain, so thinned blood not a good idea, they just compromise with a mini aspirin. As Soutra says, the doctors weigh up the risks and we just hope.
