I am 69 today. Oh dear, that means I am now in my 70th year!
Had a great lunch at DD2 and family's yesterday, including a banana toffee marshmallow cake for dessert, it was yummy! This evening I am off to Oxy Oriental for a buffet meal with DD1 and other GCs. I usually diet on alternate days, so that has gone to pot!

Happy birthday to all who celebrated birthdays in the last week. May, June and July are all crazy months for birthdays in my family (a very large family I might add).
Yesterday evening we hosted a champagne party to welcome our preemie granddaughter who, although born in mid March, was actually only due this weekend. It was lovely to Skype them in NZ and brilliant that my son in law's father and sister joined us too (his sister had a three hour journey to join us and it was only a slightly quicker journey to return home at the end of the evening - impressive commitment). I was shocked to discover that my son in law's family haven't Skyped or Facetimed and so were seeing the baby for the first time.

Thank you all for birthday wishes, and hope everyone who shares the date has had a lovely day.
I had a laugh this morning, nice touch, celebratory breakfast was a fried egg sandwich complete with a lit candle. Thank you DH.

My only grandson is 6 and my dog Alice is 8 today. It's a loooooooong time until my birthday.
