Not everyone is remembered on their birthday, so I thought it would be good to have a birthday thread. smile

Anyone celebrating today ?

No its not my birthday today but it's my daughters. It would have been my dear husbands tomorrow but sadly he died very suddenly a few years ago and we miss him so much. My birthday is on the 13th next month. One of my grandsons birthday is the day before that which was my late Dad's birthday too. Happy birthday to everyone who has a birthday! Thinking of you all. Have a lovely day.

Well I see it is Victoria Beckham's 41st birthdate today, I wonder if she will give us a quick smile. hmm

Anyone else celebrating today or this weekend ?

NanKate Sat 11-Apr-15 07:40:10

How lovely Pittcity a new little boy for you to love.

I laughed April when you said perhaps it was better you didn't know what your DS was up to on his birthday. However old our children are we wonder or worry about them. I'm sure he had a fun time with his friends.

Anymore celebrations today Gransnetters ?

aprilgrace Fri 10-Apr-15 20:58:51

Thank you. Don't know what he's up to tonight-maybe I'm better off not knowing!

Pittcity Fri 10-Apr-15 20:41:23

What a lovely response from you all.

I suggest when our birthday is almost due or on the day, we post that information. E.g. On 27 September I will be 69. I will post this as a reminder and suggest a way we can have a group virtual celebration. wine

So anyone due this month ?

I bet we find some of YS have birthdays on the same day.

AshTree Thu 09-Apr-15 09:57:07

I love this idea, thank you NanKate for thinking of it. It's not my birthday for a while, but here are some flowers and a glass of wine for anyone who is celebrating today - Happy Birthday to you!

Marmight Thu 09-Apr-15 09:51:09

A birthday wish is a great idea. Everyone likes to have a happy birthday and share it with friends. As a widow, I would find the anniversary wishes difficult: at least if you are celebrating an anniversary you have a partner and family to celebrate with, although if it was a Big One, like Golden or Ruby, then yes. Not sure about the remembrance thread - sounds a bit like the In Memoriam in the Times grin

BiNtHeReDuNiT14 Thu 09-Apr-15 09:30:57

Lovely idea especially for people on their own. " Happy Birthday " to anyone whose birthday is today.

hildajenniJ Thu 09-Apr-15 09:05:01

No, no have a lovely day!

hildajenniJ Thu 09-Apr-15 09:04:25

I also like the idea of a birthday thread. I'm nowhere near my birthday. Like Falconbird my birthday is two weeks before Christmas. My DSis has just celebrated her 60th. She is having a celebration weekend on Sat. and Sun. at her home, DH and I are going to visit on Sunday. Sorry, I'm going on a bit now. Have a lively day, if it is your birthday! xx
