What are your predictions? I am sure it will be something traditional like Alice or James.

I agree about the new baby looking like the Queen. And little George (to me) is a dead ringer for Carole Middleton! tcrshock

I didn't mind Diana because I have always been a little needy and mixed-up myself.

Rather that than be like some of the other Royals though!

I'll be 'disgusted of Cambridgeshire' if anyone tries to saddle the poor girl with that dreadful 'People's Princess' monicker which was an Alistair Campbell/Tony Blair invention to put themselves in a good light.

She's the Queen's great-granddaughter, a princess in her own right and should have her own name (not Diana's) her own identity and her own future.

I bet Prince Charles is feeling relieved he didn't have a daughter after all.

well said Merlotgran, I am waiting to see which paper leads with - princess of hearts

trisher Sun 03-May-15 11:25:53

Back to names- there is a fashion up here for hyphenated ones- Kylie-Marie, Kaylee-Louise, Brittany-Sue. Will this appeal to this family? They could still use the old family names of course so Margaret-Anne or similar. It would lose something of course as these names are especially effective when bellowed at full volume across a supermarket or shopping centre.

That made me laugh, Trisher. Heard a woman bellow LASAGNE across a shop floor (I kid you not) to her child and have taught kids called STALIN and CHLORINE

trisher Sun 03-May-15 13:12:55

Oh love that jo1book. If only they had heard that before they settled on "George", King Stalin sounds great! When I was teaching it was the spelling of names that got me. There must have been 20 different spellings for Kaylee.

rosequartz Sun 03-May-15 13:21:09

Kaylee-Beyoncé Cambridge has a certain ring to it

merlotgran Sun 03-May-15 13:42:39

I think I've said on here before that I once taught twins called Victoria and Albert Hall.

Did the parents really not think?grin

annodomini Sun 03-May-15 14:14:05

They could follow the example of Katie Price and just christen her Princess.

Mishap Sun 03-May-15 14:17:37

Princess Princess - love that!

merlotgran Sun 03-May-15 14:44:52

In-law wars??

Apart from Camilla they all look a bit glum hmm

rosequartz Sun 03-May-15 14:55:05

Inspired choice, anno!

I think Princess Princess looks just like her brother.

TriciaF Sun 03-May-15 16:00:19

Cute little rosebud mouth smile

Soutra Sun 03-May-15 16:20:38

I cringe when I hear " exotic" names-Chablis, Chardonnay etc and all the more when they are mispronounced (Char-bliss) I think it was on the Sue Perkins Radio 4 programme where someone said she had asked a mum her baby's name and was told it was "Gooey". Took a breath and asked nonchalantly how she was spelling that?
"G-U-Y" came the answer.

Mishap Sun 03-May-15 16:50:45

Charlie-boy looks like a lobster in that link merlot!

Rosannie Sun 03-May-15 17:12:57

The worst name I ever heard was when a mother in the doctor's surgery shouted"Sin head get over here!".
Obviously she was a Sinead.

merlotgran Sun 03-May-15 17:29:02

The Middletons must have had a row. Michael M looks like he spent the night in his shed.

Anniebach Sun 03-May-15 19:08:59

Expect M Middleton did some celebrating last night , good for him

merlotgran Sun 03-May-15 19:19:34

That's what DH said, Anniebach Carole Middleton has a 'What time do you call this?' look about her. grin

Anniebach Sun 03-May-15 20:57:14

She does Merlotgran , perhaps planned that they visited together but poor Mr M cocked that up, hope he enjoyed himself

Soutra Sun 03-May-15 21:02:21

Double booked himself? One last G&T at the Golf Club? She has a face like thunder whatever!

rosesarered Sun 03-May-15 21:04:23

I think that the new baby will have Diana as one of her many names, but not Carole.crown

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 03-May-15 21:39:35

No. Can't imagine a Princess Carole. Poor other granny. grin

A Russian newspaper is claiming that Catherine must have given birth days earlier than claimed as a mother would not be able to stand up five hours after giving birth, and would not have left hospital so soon (DIL left after few hours as well). confused
All I can say is that I was able to stand up five hours later but not sit down!!
