MacSporran is to see the cardiac man tomorrow. We shall therefore be home a little later. I shall visit our kitchen just as soon as we return.

I normally enjoy following the "P" word but not on some of the other posts. I will stay with Rory, drinking coffee and stroking him. I am sure that he will not object.

Well, well, well... you lot deserve whatever you desire. We've a cosy cellar with it's own bar and handsome bartender. We have a sunny kitchen with sea views. We have a chaise longue with umpteen cushions for those in need of a doze. It's all here. You lot are privileged beyond measure. Talk of politics is a No-No...all refreshments are highly nutritious and calorie-free. We deal in laughter/friendship/compassion/peace of mind. Anything beyond which needs to be put to the panel.

Just finished what should have been Tuesday's ironing for my pal. I'm knackered! MacSporran is making lunch for me. A pot of freshly brewed coffee is beckoning. I shall return to read all your messages before the end of the afternoon. ...to each and every one of you.

Why stick yourself in a cellar when you have the most magnificent scenery in front of your eyes.

If you could bottle the view and sell it to the poor souls who live in high rise inner city flats beset with vandalism, antisocial behaviour, you could make enough money to buy a fold up gazebo/sitooterie.

Maybe even get some lovely sun

I'm keeping my head below the line of fire too. If I were to raise it on any of those threads, I would be beheaded I think. Only I'm sure the knitting patterns today being used while my head rolled would be far prettier.

number I think you need handrails before your OH comes home. I still feel quite traumatised by the memory of my own father falling, and not being able to get him up.

It's been such a beautiful day here, 19C and lots of weeding and pruning, birds nesting and butterflies and bees dancing in the sunshine.

Unless it's a cellar with a sea view, I'm staying in the kitchen which should be very peaceful if the rest of you are in the cellar!

Soutra, I've only just caught up with your news. Your poor husband, he must have so weary, and you must have felt exhausted as well with worrying about him. I hope you and he are starting to feel a bit better now.

N.B. There are Scottish oatcakes the hard biscuits for cheese and these must not be confused with Staffordshire Oatcakes.

Nellie you are very safe here. It is going to get a lot worse on other posts as we get closer to the date.

We have about another two months with the run up to the election campaign and then the inevitable post election post mortems.

Crumbs number, what on earth does all being well mean?
If he can't manage the stairs without the handrail does it mean him sleeping downstairs again?
I do hope it all goes well, and that you get some help too. Has anyone suggested a temporary care package to give you a bit of rest?
