Good morning all! Well, actually, it's almost lunchtime.

It was DGD3's 2nd birthday yesterday so I've brought the remains of the sticky toffee cake, with salted caramel and Jemima Puddleduck to have for elevenses. Enjoy. This thread seems to have become very food orientated lately.

Aw Galen I was expecting a piece of salmon followed by pork, not a piece of cheese! It appears I will have to stick with my steak and trimmings, without the wine this evening.

I've just been making Michel Roux's charcuterie sauce to go with the boned rolled loin of pork from a 'happy' pig. Anne next door is cooking it. I've provided it and the trimmings and Anne and the old git will be helping me eat it.
Smoked scottish salmon as starter and strawberries and cream for after. If anyone's still hungry there's a good selection of cheese.

My sincere apologies to Nobuyuki Tsujii for thinking he was from China. He is in fact Japanese.

The rain is hammering on the window and the sea is lively. I haven't seen the ferry today. Maybe it has been taking shelter.

MacSporran presented me with a warm hot cross bun together with this morning's coffee. Naturally, I woofed it down and then thought - hold on, this means that I shall have to add an extra five minutes to today's exercise bike routine. Was it worth it? Yay!

And now the sun is shining. Typical weather for the time of year.

MacSporran is listening to the wonderfully talented blind Chinese pianist playing some equally wonderful music. I must refresh my memory and rediscover his name.

I found John Suchet the news presenter delectable. And Monty Don the gardening expert. Prof Brian Cox gets very high marks.

What a wonderful way to start the day. Memories of heart-throbs I recall writing a very soppy fan letter to Rock Hudson. I had read somewhere that he was lonely. Little did I know that he too was gay. Dirk Bogarde...phew. Richard Chamberlain made me go weak at the knees. He was the strong/sensitive type. I was and still am very happy to watch the gorgeous fella who starred in Sutherlands Law. The minute I started to type I forgot his name.
Galen Dougie Howser...the name doesn't ring any bells. NanKate nor Ty Hardin. What was I missing!
