The Shard - Half term

I really enjoyed The Shard although it was term time that I went so it was quite quiet (apparently it had been very busy the week before during school holidays). The lift is amazingly fast. If you do go up then do make a visit to the toilets. Definitely a "loo with a view" as the windows are full length so you sit on the loo feeling that you're right on the edge of the building!

I took GD1 on the Eye when she was about ten - so the Eye was quite new then. We both loved it, especially as I'd got a deal including a river trip.

My all time favourite was the London Eye. I went with a group in the days when I was working and it had not long opened. We were so fortunate because the weather had been cloudy and/or raining for days before but that particular Friday evening was perfect. I cannot remember the cost but I think that we received a group discount because there were over 20 of us.

Should perhaps add that it wasnt a half term. It was a few months ago.

I have been, though not with younger children.
We all enjoyed it.

It certainly isnt an all day activity, but it was an interesting thing to do.
It helped that we happened to have quite a clear day to be able to see for miles around.

For any London/London-bound grans ..... children go free during half-term.

It's quite a good deal, usually £18.95, and each adult can take up to two children.

I took GS last time, next week I'll be up in the sky with GD smile
