Jings I got my ring pull gadget from Lakeland on line. A really useful item and cheap. Can't recall exactly how much. £3 or so comes to mind.

Also you can buy a little gadget for lifting the ring pull thingy which I find very helpful.

If you like Spam but think it is not too good healthwise try Pek Gold which is, I think, lower in fat and salt and very good.

My DH loves it too. Can't stand it myself and the smell of it makes me retch.

I love it grilled.

DH is a Spam lover , they do a low salt version Mishap by the way.. he has it every week in his lunch sandwiches with a bit a of HP sauce... we used to have it a lot when I was young but I can't stomach it now far too fatty....
I always buy the one in the plastic container if I can I've had too many struggles with that ring pull thingy on the tins, I always managed to buy one that broke off

Printmiss, as a veggie I don't eat Spam - though it was a part of my childhood. But I have been known to get out the Swiss Army Knife to deal with a recalcitrant tin.

Don't talk to me about finding the right knife! We have a whole selection, none of which is right for any particular job, according to my husband. Jingle I have always been one of those 'a little of what you fancy does you good'.

I have a husband like that Printmiss. If I ask him to slice something very simple (like a cooked chicken breast) he has to choose the appropriate sized carving board and sharpen a knife unless, that is, he has got the electric carving knife out!

Spam - I have not had this for years - I used to love it. It is probably the high level of salt in it!

In Manju Malhi's book Brit Spice there is a very tasty recipe for Spam Masala... She also mentions that there is a Spam Society of fans!

I like it with a bit of chutney. Not really allowed these days though are we? Too much fat. Doesn't seem to be doing Printmiss any harm though!

It was yesterday for lunch, I have been smiling about it ever since, and thought I would share it with you. VQ we love spam, we were brought up on it (almost), in fritters, fried with egg and chips, not keen on it cold, but it is tasty even that way.

Spam is delicious.

Those ring pull cans can be a bugger. We have a tin of fish sometimes for lunch. Even DH has to use a teaspoon to lever it back.

Why would you want to eat Spam at any time?

Perhaps she wanted spam fritters for breakfast. It sounds logical to me.

Perhaps printmiss had been trying all night?

But I have to ask, why are you opening Spam at 8am ish?
