The only time I have ever seen guns on the street was an occasion about 20 years ago when there were police armed with machine guns guarding the door of the Crown Court. After the first day they were sat in the Land Rover at the other side of the street, but it's an odd feeling walking past people wielding machine guns.

A bit too close to home, stuff like that, isn't it. Fancy suggesting you go to have a look!!!

We heard from our daughter, she suggested I go and have a look, no way if anyone is waving guns about.

OMG, we have three areas of our village cordoned off with armed police.
From reports there has been a knife attack on the service station at the end of our lane. One man has been arrested and parts of the village cordoned off. Scary.
