Newist You must be about the first GNer in the path of this storm.

I can imagine though that you are probably better prepared to manage such storms than we in the calmer areas of the UK are.

Oh newist, do hope storm passes quickly and with no or little damage. It is so scary when at the mercy of the elements and nothing you can do but sit tight. The last big storm here in north Wiltshire frightened me, and generally I love being cosy indoors when there's a wind howling.

More storms again, we are getting warnings, its quite scary already our roof tiles are rattling, candles at the ready, tomorrows dinner sorted. Gusts of 100m an hour are forecast for here. The schools will probably close tomorrow and for us no ferries or planes, which means no food lorries. everyone in the path of it please take care.
