New word on the block

I haven't googled, but I thought it was a well-established contraction of 'suburb'. No doubt something else entirely these days, though...

I would say the same as Ana.. where I live is the 'burbs'.

I cheated . I had not heard the word burb used for suburb so you are not alone.

I was going to say 'burb' was a term I had heard but to me in the context of 'What a load of burb he was talking'. In other words what a load of prattle he was talking.
