I know most of the future is an unknown but, in my case, I expect not to have any more DGC and to lose my mum! As we have 8 grandchildren already, I am happy to stick grin

Mum is really poorly but fighting to the end and we are not surprised to find she is still with us at the start of 2015. I'm not sure how I will feel when mum dies - most of you have heard about our relationship and the disruption she has caused to our wider family - but with her death will come the end of any chance of a good relationship with her.

Something I didn't expect was for DH to bring me Buck's Fizz in bed! wine

I'm amazed that, after being on diets for nigh on 47 years I seem to have found a lifestyle that keeps my weight stable [just wish I could take back the last 47 years sad]. I want to be more politically active, even though I'm confused about how I feel about the main parties. I plan to visit friends that I haven't seen for years; we say every year we must meet up but never do. If I wasn't such a useless driver I could just drive to see them, but I'm not so it'll have to be by train. I must go back to Cornwall; I haven't been back there for at least 12 years and I love it more than anywhere. It will feel as if I've never been away. I'm hoping that a lot of friction within my family will have been resolved. And I plan to find long lost members of my family; they're out there somewhere! And I'll walk the dog more....

My campaign to improve access to basic hand washing and toilet facilities for lorry drivers looks like taking off. I'm also starting a campaign for public toilet availability so that people like me can feel more comfortable going out and about. I want to visit friends I keep meaning to visit and spend more time by the sea. I want to sort out various cupboards and declutter and keep up my Gymophobics and Pilates which hopefully will give me the energy to do all these things! And then there's the grandchildren........

A member of my family is most probably going to die within the very near future, so 2015 is not going to get off to a good start. But I have such conflicting emotions about this person that I know there will also be feelings of relief.... tinged with guilt therefore, and sadness. It's a muddle.

Hopefully better health for my DH who has had a number of health issues over the last two years. For myself I hope to get more exercise even if it is only some good walks. Lots of work in the house as it has been abandoned a little due to DH's illness - so we are planning to so lots of re-decorating.

I have just been sent this by Ethical Consumer.
I would be very happy if everyone on here got their wishes.

We are planning to get out more this year and have got off to a good start with a couple of nights out and a weekend away in the first 11 days!
We are also looking forward to the birth of DGS2 and several significant family birthdays.

Although I responded at the start of this thread I have only just caught up. number I hope all goes well with your DH's stoma reversal, my friend had hers reversed nearly 18mths ago and she has been fine, hardly any problems at all,I would say she is back to normal. For my wishes I have few except it would be a bonus if DH's dementia stays stable although that is perhaps a pipe dream. I just hope my own health stays good as that is my abiding fear that I will not be able to care for him. Right that is the end of me feeling sorry for myself, I don't indulge often but today has not been good. Tomorrow is another day and another week and things will be much better.

Life seems to be swings and roundabouts and for those on a downward cycle I wish a positive upswing in 2015.
We had a good 2015. Got to go to USA to visit our new grandson.

We were also blessed with another grandson two days ago. He is in Northumbria and we are in N. Ireland. Visit planned for April.

Yesterday our eldest DS who lives locally told us to be ready on Thursday, he is taking myself and DH to Carlisle for the day to see newest dgs. Leaving at 6am, catch the ferry and arrive at lunchtime. Spend 3 hours with family and will get home around 9pm. Ds in Carlisle only knows his brother will visit. We are a surprise.

What a lovely start to our 2015.
Only thing is...... our swing is well up at the moment....does it have to swing down in due course.

We have voted for a quieter year this year, last year was very busy and seemed to have more family fallouts than normal, sad at the time but they seem to have sorted themselves out now.
We have Mr Glamma's 70th birthday in May to look forward to and will spend 7 days abroad for that my hubby hates any fuss or parties etc so that will suit him down to the ground.
I am also going to start winding down my outside catering this year as I am so busy and just keep the Council contract its getting too much, some weeks I could be booked for 4 days if I wanted so getting a bit tiring I'll finish altogether after DS1 gets married in 2016 as I will need some funds for a new hat won't I. grin
