45 years ago today, DH and I met at my works Christmas do! His brother and I worked for the same hosiery company and he had come as his brother's guest to the party which was at the Top Rank Suite! I bought a new beaded Berketex dress and our first dance was the Gay Gordon's!
How sedate were we!

Ha, Jane even if I still had it, it would be 'snug'!! I de beaded it eventually and wore it loads but I don't quite have the figure for it now

We also met 45 years ago- but in late April- about 1 month after I'd arrived for my 6 months in London- which turned out to be 39 years... (thanks for me getting on the wrong train and having to ask him how to get home...)- we got married 1 year later.

! We met in the middle of a farmyard when I fell over in the s..t and was unceremoniously dumped in the trough to clean off the muck...... Must have been a moral lurking somewhere!
