We also met 45 years ago- but in late April- about 1 month after I'd arrived for my 6 months in London- which turned out to be 39 years... (thanks for me getting on the wrong train and having to ask him how to get home...)- we got married 1 year later.

What a romantic lot you are ! We met in the middle of a farmyard when I fell over in the s..t and was unceremoniously dumped in the trough to clean off the muck...... Must have been a moral lurking somewhere!

It is more than 51 years since I met DH and to my shame it is him that remembers the date. Last year when it was 50 years he gave me a lovely card and opened the champagne.
