After much thought, DD did a really kind thing and asked the Idiot if he would like to have the children on Christmas Morning for a couple of hours, give them their presents and take them to see his parents.

His reply was that he has them on Saturdays and Sundays and that Christmas Day is Thursday. tchgrin

He is, however, having them on Boxing Day and the day after which include a Friday. tchconfused

Teetime grin when I get a spare minute!!

I just discovered that my DD calls him a really rude word that I would never use, but only when speaking to her sisters so as to spare my blushes. grin

DH calls him a b*msl*t because all that comes out is s**t. That really makes me giggle. tchgrin

I hasten to add, we are very careful in front of the children.

kitty DD has been known to use the term pratface or k***head

I wonder if that will be censored tchgrin

ninathenana Sun 14-Dec-14 14:17:47

Teetime thank you, you have just given me a LOL moment.

Teetime Sun 14-Dec-14 08:32:26

I can see a self help book forming here 'What Spermi and the Idiot did next' the definitive guide to making sure you don't marry a twit. You could make a fortune Kitty at least it wont spoil Christmas Day. tchsmile.

Flipping gecko doesn't quite cut the mustard for the Idiot!! Could someone give us a definitive list! grin.

Nelliemoser Sun 14-Dec-14 00:10:21

"Nina" I find using expletives when someone is being unreasonable is very theraputic. You could ask my OH for my list. He has had many of them directed his way of late.

Sorry, got your name wrong Katek

ninathenana Sat 13-Dec-14 23:52:11

Katey tchgrin

ninathenana Sat 13-Dec-14 23:50:48

Nellie believe me, I have used some very rude words tchgrin

Nelliemoser Sat 13-Dec-14 23:03:31

Annsixty Indeed yes! If these two grans are trying to find ways of coping with their DDs awkward exs, using some very black humour and rude words must help. The alternative is total despair.

KittyLester & Ninathenana flowers to you both.

Katek Sat 13-Dec-14 22:32:48

Block booking with Lufthansa....?

annsixty Sat 13-Dec-14 22:14:51

kittyin that case he really is an idiot.

ninathenana Sat 13-Dec-14 22:11:59

It's a lovely idea kitty tchgrin

Trouble is we'd still have DD's boyfriend's ex and her family to deal with tchsad

annsixty Sat 13-Dec-14 21:22:38

What a good job everyone can "joke"about an awful situation when actually we are either screaming or weeping inside.sad

kittylester Sat 13-Dec-14 20:42:19

Buy 2 and he can take the Idiot!

Katek Sat 13-Dec-14 20:38:50

Perhaps if you bought him plane ticket for Christmas.........?!

ninathenana Sat 13-Dec-14 20:36:01

Katek We were hoping spermie would do the same as his parents live there.
No such b***dy luck !

Katek Sat 13-Dec-14 20:24:39

My very ex (1977!) disappeared post haste to Germany like an extra from Auf Wiedersehen Pet. Saved a lot of problems.

kittylester Sat 13-Dec-14 20:09:42

Although DD3 is 27, the Idiot is 50! Ann!

Nina,tchangry

annsixty Sat 13-Dec-14 19:05:52

Reading this makes me realise how lucky my DD (and I)are ,perhaps because they are an "older " at47 and 49 couple). My SiL is going on Christmas Eve and staying until the 27th. The children 15 and 12 are so pleased and I am relieved that at the moment things are amicable.

FarNorth Sat 13-Dec-14 18:33:55

I expect idiot / spermie had already thought up their own plans for their perfect xmas day, and it doesn't include making an effort to entertain kiddies.

ninathenana Sat 13-Dec-14 18:28:19

Oh dear kitty sounds like something spermie would say [shakes head in despair] It's impossible to fathom their thinking.

DD thought she'd be the bigger person and let him have boys for Christmas lunch and afternoon. He turned her down 'because he wants to cook them bubble n squeak on Boxing Day tchconfused

rosequartz Sat 13-Dec-14 18:09:23

No Bank holidays, no Easter, the fewer times the better really.
Look on the bright side!

glammanana Sat 13-Dec-14 18:05:30

kitty how you put up with him is a credit to you both you and your DD he really does take the biscuit and is living up to his idiot name.
Does he expect Christmas Day to change just for him? does he think he is that entitled, just smile when you see him and know he is the tit in this scenario and not you and DD. xx

rosequartz Sat 13-Dec-14 17:46:04

Every cloud has a silver lining, kitty.

They don't have to go there now tchsmile
