There's been recent criticism of the National Trust which has increased its income by £4 million to £460 million. This is partly down to lucrative TV and film deals, such as Downton, Mr Turner and Game of Thrones.
Despite these very healthy profits, 2,000 of their workers are not paid the living wage and are really struggling. It's also felt that other skilled and knowledgeable staff members are not being appropriately rewarded. I think it's great that the organisation is doing so well but I do feel that their workers should be paid properly.
