Limerick writing Mark 4 (animal, vegetable and mineral)

Bird feeders filled up to the brim

What more can add to my woes?

and so is my bum

My fingers are numb

And a drip hanging off of my nose

But I'm here I 'm stuck with frozen toes

And a gigolo just down the line.

Whilst wearing a sun hat.

And cashews to pick at

With a glass of ruby red wine.

(I am in fact drinking a very pleasant chilled sherry, which I think only old ladies drink now.

I wish I was basking in sunshine

And hurry off down to the fair.

And wrap 'em in tin.

So let's bring 'em in

My chestnuts are boiling out there

The peas said 'its freezing in 'ere'

Eye of newt worked for the witchy sisters.

It's no good for my warts.

The frost looks like quartz

My feet are covered in blisters

The snow looks like falling crystals.

And the cow broke free from its tether.

The cat's even madder.

The dog knocked the ladder

The monkeys all of a blether.
