Limerick writing Mark 4 (animal, vegetable and mineral)

With silver or gold

And emeralds bold

She glowed on her various thrones

The camel got the hump and then huffed

As he walked through the sand and got puffed.

(any geologists about to let me know if sand can be classed as a mineral?)

He'd unpitched his tent

(pitch being bituminous mineral - hooray for Google )

Chewed a mint, heaven sent!

Then he tripped over a large grass tuft.

I saw a huge marrow last Sunday

Stuffed with onion and mince for Monday.

With tatties and peas

And swede mashed with ease

Made a gem of a feast for that one day.

The ironing pile is mountainous

And the servants are saying its scandalous

Mrs Bridges is munching a carrot

While Hudson is chasing a parrot

But Upstairs, of course, all is fabulous.

In the Garage, the chauffeurs getting quite stoned

Those weird plants he's got have been cloned

Magic mushrooms abound

No sprouts can be found.

This weed is rubbish they moaned.

Lets brew up some hooch from the peelings

Drink it all and dance on the ceilings
