Limerick writing Mark 4 (animal, vegetable and mineral)

The silver stream flowed

To the marble white snow of December.

The pigeons are scoffing the bird food.

They are large,greedy and rather rude.

But here comes a vulture

He's lacking in culture

At times his tweeting is quite crude

The heron eyed up the goldfish pond

Of koi carp fish he was very fond

So tonight for his tea

He'll have carp and chutney

Washed down with a pot of Brooke Bond

I've just found some red kryptonite

Having recently discovered this site

I'll mix it with lead

Then slope off to bed

Oh thinking of what rhymes with site.

Ma Rabbit was tossing the pancakes

She was making quite sure that they weren't fakes

She sprinkled the brown sugar

Which would make them feel fuller

And cover up any mistakes

The daffodils are at the ready

The scent from narcissi is heady

The snowdrops abound
