How could we forget Phoenix!

I'm having this issue at the moment! I ordered a Kenwood electric knife at £29.99 inc postage. I got a Quest electric knife, cost £12.99 plus postage. i contacted the seller who said that was the only one they had so they sent it anyway. Didn't explain why they had deducted the full price though. If I send it back, 2nd class, I can have refund and my postage back. Grrrrrr!!

To be fair, I have never had a problem with Amazon before. And I do know that I shouldn't use them but I have no time at the moment and it is easy! blush

I mentioned on another thread that I had seen a DVD wrongly priced at £59.99. Amazon said I had to contact the seller, which I have but still no reply.

Does anyone remember a couple of Christmases ago my coffee machine saga? blush

I ordered a CD from Amazon. Today a CD arrived, correct tracking number, wrong CD, so far so good/bad. I check my order, that is quite clear about which CD I had ordered.

I go onto Amazon to go through their process for returning incorrect goods and getting correct items, to discover they have a process for returning products for all kinds of reasons and giving you a quick refund, but the possibility that they might have supplied the wrong item and you want to exchange it for the correct item is something that has never entered their minds.

What do I do? Their system turns products into codes, so if I return the CD, accept repayment and then re-order, will I end up with the same wrong CD again because either the code on the site is wrong or the code on the bin they retrieved the CD from is wrong.

I have decided to return the CD and buy the one I want from another seller, even if it costs more. But what makes a company so arrogant that they cannot imagine or have a system to deal with the possibility that they might, just might, now and again send out the wrong item?
