GadaboutGran You've made me chuckle. Welcome to our kitchen. The more the merrier.
Talking of watching one's offspring in pantos and plays...when my youngest was about 12, he played the role of a char lady complete with turban, pinafore, rolled down stockings and a ciggie hanging from the mouth. His best pal was also "in drag". At one point the pal forgot his lines. As the two "ladies" were about to leave the stage, my son improvised and said..."ah well, best go off for a gin and tonic..." and with that the pal, taking a long drag on the pretend ciggie realised that he need say no more.
Very black clouds are hanging over the Paps of Jura. Could be that snow is in the air. It is chilly enough. We did our usual Tesco shop this morning. At lunchtime we had to forego the usual Friday wee dram. Well, MacSporran did, because he was driving but he generously allowed me to have my treat. He had a half pint of the weakest beer and left half...just to be on the "safe side" of the law.
