Some weeks ago I posted a thread regarding a very ill friend who'd been rushed into hospital. Sadly, she died on October 20th after a really short illness. It has been a terrible shock to us all. She'd never been ill in her life, led a healthy lifestyle not a candidate for heart disease. Her main fault was that she didn't attend any of the screenings offered and hadn't had a blood pressure check for years. Who knows if this could have been picked up.
I keep thinking of this because I feel we may have had her around for years to come. She was my closest friend, we did such a lot together. Of course I have other dear friends but she was the dearest. She lived just up the road, so walking around my area is difficult as I keep thinking I can see her. So much to remind me. The phone rang one day and for a nano-second I thought it was her. Her funeral is on November 5th, I'm dreading it.
My son and his wife are taking me away to Deal for a week with my dear little granddaughters [this was planned months ago] it couldn't come at a better time.
