Can anyone recommend any good places for lunch around Leamington Spa?

DH and I meet up with two of his friends from university , for lunch, three or four times a year and, somehow confused, DH ends up looking for the venue. The choice of Leamington is dictated by the fact the we are coming from Leicestershire and our friends from Oxford and Burton on Trent!

Any suggestions gratefully received! wine

I have just had a look on the CAMRA what pub website ,and you have a Wetherspoons the Benjamin Santwell if spelt right on the main street above the parks.

Thank you Mick. We were really looking for somewhere out of town but we will bear that in mind! sunshine

Try The Leopard pub at Bishop's Tachbrook just outside Leamingtin Spa. We stopped there for lunch earlier this year and it was quite pleasant. I'm loathed to recommend anywhere just in case it disappoints but our experience was a good one.

The Anchor in Leek Wootton. We were there a few weeks ago and had a lovely meal. We were served by polite and helpful young people and it was a good experience which our Canadian friend enjoyed too. I am pretty sure it is privately owned which is always a bonus.

Wherever you go, enjoy.

The Crown Inn in Harbury is good. Lovely village, good food and friendly owners.

I can second the Leopard at Bishops Tachbrook. It's family friendly so has a few younger children in at the weekend; just so you're warned!
