Hello everyone from a cloudy overcast Co. Durham. Just managed to get onto computer. I was at Asda for 9.30 to beat the rush. Excellent day for me and DH. Yesterday we had a stair lift fitted and it was wonderful to see DH at the top of the stairs last night and still able to breath. Better still this morning to watch him glide downstairs. No more bouncing down on his bum when his gout kicks in.

This is a lovely day.

Rain first thing, now sunny

Good heavens! I always did wonder how my mother disposed of our terrapins once they had grown out of their huge mixing bowl... hmmShe bought them thinking they were already fully grown.

I've been having a look online and there's lots of info about terrapins in our canals and waterways. Here's an example:

It's a bit grey here too, on the Suffolk/Norfolk border. The whole house smells of damson chutney that I made last night, we all had damson jam on toast with our breakfast and DS has just picked a fresh basket of apples for 'me' in the hope that I will make more apple cake... hmm It's been a hectic week, I am feeling very slow.

Now wondering how turtles got into the Macclesfield canal! Glad you had a good day at the wedding, when.

Good morning from Devon. Dull here, and slight shower just now.
Feeling grey and restless........

When - so glad your son's wedding went off well - loved his joke about the turtles! Just taking ten before assembling my tools and going off to fit a fire surround for a friend. Nothing cheers me up more than a challenging practical task - especially when all the mess is in someone else's house grin

Good morning everyone. Grey again, has barely changed all week. Sister in law and her son visiting today, all of for a pub lunch al fresco. Might need to take a cardi.

Printmiss Chichester Cathedral cafe sounds good, but away for two weeks from Tuesday so maybe October?

Morning all. Just back from the hairdresser's after having a good all round tidy up. My Hairdresser is doing the Great North Run tomorrow, so I must look out for her. Doubtful if I'll spot her among all that crowd. The weather here started grey and miserable but is improving all the time with some blue sky and the sun trying to break through. It's my diet day so I must keep busy to keep the hunger pangs at bay.
Happy Saturday everyone.

And congratulations to the MotG.

Good morning, everyone. It's quite dull here but a fine day, otherwise. Had a smashing day yesterday watching my son get married. Happy reception at a venue alongside a backwater of the Macckesfield canal, where there was lots of excitement when several turtles appeared, swimming along in a line. My son incorporated it into his speech, promising the guests that ALL his childhood pals had made the effort to attend, including the Ninja Turtles! grin

Dull and damp here!
Exercise class first, then coffee, then home to read the papers and relax.

Had a lovely day yesterday in Kirkby Lonsdale, such a pretty little market town. We meandered home through the Trough of Bowland. England is such a green and pleasant land.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

GOOD MORNING GRANSNET! I have not looked out of the window yet. I am dressed but sitting in a chair with my cup of tea. Weather report when I can be bothered to look [grin ]!

PRINTMISS Sat 06-Sept-14 08:12:24

Good morning all, we once again have a still overcast morning, the cloud seems to be hanging around a lot these days, because although it has been warm and quite bright, the cloud has been a bit heavy, and no rain. Gaga would be pleased to meet up, what about the Chichester Cathedral cafe as a venue - that's a start anyway. Off to play in a bowls competition this pm, looking forward to doing catch-up with everyone. Enjoy your days.

Good morning grey but dry in East Northants . So glad it's dry as family members are moving house today and that's not much fun at the best of times but worse in the rain. smile

kittylester Sat 06-Sept-14 08:07:22

Good morning all!

It's a bit grey and misty here in north Leicestershire but it looks as though it might brighten up. sunshine

We have a really exciting day ahead - a trip to Ikea with two under threes! Wish us luck. I hope you survive Aldi Brenda grin

We then have to find room for yet more of DD's stuff. I thought our house was quite big but it appears to be shrinking!

Enjoy your days everyone! sunshine

Where is everyone today.
Hello Mick and everyone. A calm autumnal day here in East Sussex.

It's off to Lewes for coffee with my ex secretary before she moves north and then I'm going to be very adventurous and visit the big Aldi there.
