I think I would go down the B route as long as the children where as you say in full view and they where of an age that they where secure in their car seats.

One vehicle was un drivable. Emergency services were needed but no body was taken to hospital.
My friend did 'b' and was seen, she's now in trouble with her DiL sad I think I would have done 'b' unless it had been a minor bump.

If it's just a bump, not needing emergency services, I'd drive on and get in touch with friend later.

My behaviour would prob be different if it was a serious accident needing emergency services.

You are driving along with young children in the car. You come across an accident moments after it happened. One of the vehicles is driven by a friend of yours. Bearing in mind the accident is on a busy roundabout in town. Do you .....
a) drive on
b) leave your car in a safe place in your full view with children inside to go and check your friend.
c) take the children out of the car and go and check your friend.
