There are plenty of grans under 60 on here (which is very young to me!)

It started at 12.30 AM [intentional shouty capitals] when the phone rang. Dragging ourselves from the depths of sleep, DH just had time to notice that it was Mum's NH before the ringing stopped.
I spent quite a lot of the rest of the night trying to get through to Mum's unit but the phone was continually picked up by people who asked ME how to put me through
Eventually, I gave up on the basis that they would have rung a brother which they had. I couldn't get back to sleep for expecting one brother or another to ring.
At 6.30, I got a text from my brother to say that mum had had a fall, an ambulance had been called but she had refused, in no uncertain terms, to go to hospital. An on call doctor was called to glue her head together. This was the second fall this week due, we think, to her forgetting that she should use a walker.
In the mean time we realised that we hadn't seen DD's cat for two days and then she got a phone call to say that the house she shared with the Idiot had been egged. It was not me!!! She went to clean up the house and discovered her cat was in the garden. This house is 3 miles away and between us and it there is a canal, the A6 and a mainline railway.
I went to visit mum, to be met by the GP who was checking that she hadn't broken her hip in the fall as she was complaining of back pain, he doesn't think she has! Mum was on great form and I fell for the (extremely young 
) doctor who was brilliant with my mum, flirting with her and complimenting her outrageously, which she really loved.
I've had no sleep, I've got to cook a curry and then it must, surely, be bedtime!
