If you limit your 'friends' to just close friends and family I don't see how anyone can be bullied on facebook. Surely family members aren't bullies and you can soon boot out a so called 'friend' if they upset you.

People who claim to have hundreds of 'friends' on facebook are just asking for trouble. Stick with the devils you know!

Er, when I said friends and family....I meant my friends and close family members....it was not code for anything....just an accurate description of those with whom I keep in touch.

Bullying can happen anywhere ( I know to my cost)...what one needs are the confidence and skill to deal with it, not a blanket ban on Facebook.

My niece who is much more 'puter savvy than me, was bullied unmercifully on FB, which makes me suspicious.

Agree its good to keep in touch with close family.

The phrase' friends and family' as now used is all encompassing, but it is common parlance, just trots off the tongue

Nothing wrong with Facebook....its a tool you can adapt and use as you wish to. For many its the best way of keeping in touch with friends and family more many reasons, stuck at home, had to move or on the move etc.

Jolly - I thought it was funny although I thought her handling of them was daft. I'm sorry you think FB is poison - if you choose your friends carefully and set your privacy settings correctly, it can be great fun and a lovely way to keep in touch and be spontaneous with people you love and like. FB is like all the social media, forums, internet - it's how we use it that determines what it is ( just like TV in the past)

Silly woman - I saw this a few days ago on Facebook, being described as 'hilarious.' Safety gate on both doorways, lights off, pillow and a blanket for them to cuddle up to nearby, keep a distant eye to make sure they're ok and leave them to accept it's bedtime. My daughters were horrified that someone would be doing this. Both have twins.

I felt exhausted just watching that!

As any Mum of twins [which I am] although grown of course, this is par for the course.

Still I suppose it gets her her 15 minutes of fame!
