But for all you Sauvignon Blanc lovers, Waitrose have currently got The Ned at £7.29 a bottle ! (It's usually £10.99)

I didn't buy any myself, but might get one bottle tomorrow.

We were ABC for a while but have enjoyed some recently again.
Not fond of Pinot Grigio, but do like S. Blanc, particularly NZ.

We on this thread don't care about calories, jingl! We laugh in the face of calories and scoff at the Health Police's warnings...

Until the next morning/weigh-in, etc. grin

rosequartz Fri 18-Jul-14 22:37:20

Be careful, phoenix, being flippant can get you into trouble!

Oh, you're probably OK on this thread but not the one I was on! Enough to drive you to wine

Cheers

Anne58 Fri 18-Jul-14 22:28:47

jingl you naughty thing you!

(For heavens sake, please someone please tell me why I'm being so sodding flippant)

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 18-Jul-14 22:21:10

All tht wine has got calories you know. hmm

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 18-Jul-14 22:20:16

Well I've been on the fizzy water so I'll probably be trumping all night.

TMI Ana? grin

Ana Fri 18-Jul-14 21:50:55

grin

Agus Fri 18-Jul-14 21:34:07

Certainly would in my case Ana. I would probably explode.

Possibly too much more TMI grin

Ana Fri 18-Jul-14 21:27:20

TMI Nonu! (I'd have thought a Bud would give you more of them...hmm)

Nonu Fri 18-Jul-14 21:21:06

I am having a "Bud", long & cool also shifts the windy pops !

merlotgran Fri 18-Jul-14 21:18:36

Too hot for red wine tonight. Lovely long, cool G&T and then I might find my way to the fridge in which lurks a bottle of Pinot Grigio.

rubysong Fri 18-Jul-14 20:40:26

We used to go to Asda but I always came home with headache. I don't know why. Now we have a Tesco near us so that's where we go.

sparkygran Fri 18-Jul-14 18:34:45

GNetters, GNetters lets get back to the serious business of wines. Tonight because of dinner am on the white a very nice Pinot Grigio. You see it doesn`t have to be red wine. I do love Chablis hurry up Tesco`s and put it on offer

henetha Fri 18-Jul-14 18:10:56

Yes, Nesquik is great, Ana. I actually prefer Banana Milk Shake to any wine!

Ana Fri 18-Jul-14 18:01:46

Ooh! I love banana milk shakes - I mix my own using Nesquik as I find the ready-made ones too sweet.

henetha Fri 18-Jul-14 17:55:45

My preference is Banana Milk Shake. £1.20 per litre in Tesco. wink

Agus Fri 18-Jul-14 15:13:03

Just noticed in Asda Nobilis S Blanc for £5..can't vouch for it's taste, though, maybe others would know it.

I never took to red wine at all regardless of trying some that others rave about.

Lona Fri 18-Jul-14 14:42:11

Well, that's no good then! Thanks p

Anne58 Fri 18-Jul-14 13:07:22

It's white Lona

BeeWitch Fri 18-Jul-14 13:06:26

merlotgran So agree -Toro Loco is excellent - we bought a few for our 'cellar' - actually a dark bit of the pantry ....

Lona Fri 18-Jul-14 13:03:25

@phoenix and Agus Is that Lidl Pinot Grigio fruity?
I usually drink a Merlot from Waitrose which is normally about £7 50ish, so I have to wait for an offer.
It's very fruity and quite delicious I think, but I only drink a couple of small glasses a week, so I won't just drink anything.

Agus Fri 18-Jul-14 12:53:04

Ah, forgot to mention the Pinot Grigio in Lidl. I'll second that Phoenix smile

Agus Fri 18-Jul-14 12:46:26

If I come across any Chablis reductions you will be the first to know sparkygran grin The offer I found recently was in Waitrose, reduced to £7.

We have a huge Tesco, locally and I find it frustrating having to go up and down so many long aisles searching for products that are continually being moved.

Anne58 Fri 18-Jul-14 12:44:42

Very good Pinot Grigio in Lidl, £4.49 ( I think, well, it's definitely under £5)

Oldgreymare Fri 18-Jul-14 09:53:01

I've given up on the half price offers after hearing that they were probably only worth that price anyway ( would that make a quarter of the original price a bargainhmm). I've yet to buy a dud at M&S tho'
