Soop I hope the postie brings you that buff envelope tomorrow.
G23 good to hear that MrG23 continues to improve.
soop I have everything crossed for MacS, hope you hear soon.
Granny23
Thank you. Your support means a lot to me. Maybe tomorrow the envelope will be delivered. If so, we will both be mightily relieved...and I shall with you.
soop you sure he said lymphoma not lipoma?
Great news, Granny23!
Love and best wishes Soop, to you AND MacSporran xx
My hubby went for his procedure on Saturday, to help them decide whether or not he can have his stoma reversal operation, I can`t remember what the procedure was called, it involved them putting some liquid down his back passage to see if it was going all the way through, as last time they did it there was a small amount of "narrowing", which could cause leakage, not nice, so the consultant wanted to do it again. Apparently, all went well, he just has to wait to hear from the consultant, with fingers crossed.
I do hope the news will be good for all these husbands. It will be great for yours to have his stoma reversed, number. I went through that with a 2-year-old, almost 40 years ago. He rampaged around so much that it prolapsed several times and they reversed it a few weeks earlier than intended! Now a hale and hearty 41-year-old. As for MacS, soop, I wish they would hurry up and send you that buff envelope and take some of the stress off you. You've both had such a fraught summer, you deserve some let-up. G23 - it does sound as if yours is on the mend if he can do without you for periods of time. Your life must be getting hectic as you're on the last lap of the YES campaign now.
Fingers crossed for our MacSporran and Mr Number.
Sounds as if your DH is coming on in leaps and bounds G23. Great news.
Hope you are well too as I'm sure you will be making every minute count in the next 2 weeks.
The appointment is for Wednesday next in Oban hospital scan of neck, thorax, abdomen and pelvis. The consultant told MacS that he believes the lump in his neck is lymphoma.
When I went to the letter box and saw the envelope it was such a relief. MacS is eager to get matters either confirmed and "sorted" or...we may hear good tidings and have ourselves a wee treat.
number I've missed you recently. I'm pleased to hear that your husband's procedure went according to plan. It is the waiting that takes it's toll, isn't it.
Hello dear Anno It is always a treat to have you call into the kitchen.
Agus the weather is lovely today. It is so much warmer and the sea is almost flat calm.
Granny23
for you...even though I do not share your conviction.
soop
for you and MacS
Even if it does come back as a lymphoma, the modern treatment is very good. I've known people live for 40 years and then die of something else.
Be of good cheer.
Will do, Galen Thank you harrigran.
I'm glad you have the letter soop. Of course you both want to get on and find out what's wrong. You have had a horrible summer of waiting for a definite diagnosis. Until that happens you can't do anything. I shall keep my fingers firmly crossed for you.
Hello everyone! Sorry not to have been in the kitchen recently. We've had rather a hectic summer and in fact only returned chez-nous in the early hours of this morning from our annual trip to France. I think I've caught up on everyone's doings and send best wishes to all our kitcheners with health problems to cope with, either their own or their loved ones'.
I have put a couple of bottles of Normandy Cidre on the tale - do try it. It's very refreshing!
Although not sunny soop, warm, dry, no wind, well not outside
. I can live with a day like this.
Welcome back gagagran. I'm quite partial to a Normandy Cidre thank you.
tale? TABLE!
soop at least you now have a date- such a pity that the journey is fairly long as Oban is a distance away. The days fly past so Wednesday will soon be here
soop we will be thinking of you and MacS on Weds and sending lots of positive vibes
There is joy in the Bellasnana household today. DD2 and our darling three and a half year old Bella have arrived after three flights (Jacksonville to Chicago to Frankfurt to Malta) Wonderful to have them here as you can imagine.
Only downside is DH in hospital so won't be able to see little one until Saturday as no children allowed in the hospital.
What a happy day for you Bellasnana. What a lovely time you'll have with Bella. I hope her grandad is able to see her and her mum.
Thank goodness MacS has at last got an appointment, soop and hope that the scan will at least show what is going on and then the best way forward can be decided. It has been a very uncertain time for you both.
Lovely for you to have your DD and DGD with you, Bellasnana; hope DGD can see her grandad soon - that will cheer him up!
I am very partial to cider, thankyou very much Gagagran. Very refreshing after the housework I have been doing today.
Waiting for appointments and then results can be torture so I am so happy MacSp's first step is soon. We will be back at the Royal Free tomorrow for a further chat(?) about DH's anaemia. Bloods taken after his TIA on Monday show that his hb has dropped to 7.3 again ( ideal is 11-18 I believe). He doesn't feel as breathless and lethargic as did before when it was low however apart from a bad attack of MAN FLU!!
soop glad you've got a date at last
Bellasnana
Just what you needed to cheer you onwards, and also to shore you up when you feel low! I'm so pleased for you.xx
Soutra Look after yourself too
Just as Lona has said.
and
for each of you.
Sorry to hear your DH had a TIA on Monday Soutra it's a frightening experience and I hope he has fully recovered. Just when you were both happy about the joyous arrival of your GD, something like this knocks the wind out of you. Hope you have a positive chat re DH's anaemia tomorrow.
Take care of yourself too.
Slainte, to you both.
I can almost feel your and DH's spirits lifting from here Bella. What a wonderful time ahead with your DD and your own little Bella around. Could the hospital not make a teeny wee exception in this case as they have travelled so far? I'm sure you know best though whether this is a good idea or not.
Best of luck McSporran, we will all be with you in Oban next Wednesday. Slainte to your good self. |_|, that's a wee dram
So pleased to hear that things are moving at last for MacSporran, best wishes for Wednesday. Soop, I`ve been around, just not posting, as others seem to say things much more eloquently than I can.
Bella, I hope you enjoy having the little one there, your husband will be itching for Saturday to come round!
