Have returned from a morning ironing a big basket-full of laundry. My left shoulder is still sore (trapped nerve) and, although I'm right-handed, I only just managed to finish on the stroke of one o'clock.

Charleygirl is right to point out that Rory has freshly roasted chicken. The minute it is out of the oven MacS cuts off a portion for him. It is then left to cool for a few minutes...during which time Rory protests like a banshee.

I am back on British soil, tho not home till Saturday, and have just been scrolling back over the thread for news of MacS as well as Bellasnana' s OH. I was so sorry to hear about the extra pressure on MacS and you, soop. You've had such a trying summer and now I do hope that things will soon be clarified and look brighter. Bellasnana, I hope the mouth ulcers have cleared up. They make eating and drinking so miserable.
I got back from the family caravan holiday in France on Sunday. We had a great time in Provence and the Ardèche. Contrary to rather gloomy expectations the weather was glorious and as a consequence I'm browner than usual. As I couldn't go canoeing or canyoning with the family they treated me to a microlight flight over the Ardèche gorge. Not a bit scary and very spectacular. A bit of an anticlimax to be back here in such gloomy weather, but there must be some compensations: I'll let you know when I think of any!

Agus hasn't our weather been the tops over the last few days. Although the sky isn't cloudless we do have a very sunny day to enjoy to the full.

I've been sorting through my personal favourite music and have put Haydn String Quartets The Lindsays to one side. Their rendition is so spirited. As I pedal away (a little later) I shall do so to Opus 76 Nos 4, 5 & 6

Another month of this would be lovely soop but I doubt very much that will be the case. One bonus for me is, our two, very fit posties are still running around in their grey shorts and red polo shirts uniform. Oooo, very nice

DH is talking about getting an excercise bike to use as part of his cardio gym routine whenever he gets the go ahead he is well enough to use one. Listening to favourite pieces of music might even get me into using it!

We are home - thirteen weeks to the day we left.

It's been fabulous but I've missed so much of what's been going on in your lives. Lots to do now what with the car to unpack & pets to be collected. I will try to catch up over the next couple of days.

It's good to be back in the kitchen.

Now then, pay attention please...which of the kitcheners can recommend one of those new-fangled phone things that can also be used as a camera? All we need is something VERY straight forward with the ability to send and receive messages and take good quality pics that can be uploaded on our computer. All the additional fancy-apps stuff isn't what we require. Please may I have your intelligent input...
