Prince or Saint?

I don't think it cynical to point out he visits a drug centre in a country which is holding the World Cup . Did he watch the football because he was in the country to visit the drug centre or ? .

I'm sure he is genuine in his charity work and aware of the 'Diana legacy' but I agree with Anniebach about the photo opportunities. Harry's advisors need to be very careful because we're a cynical lot these days.

None of us can choose the situation in life into which we are born.
I think he is doing the best he can in his situation, and does it well.
I like Harry.

Chanel 4 news last week I think it was did an item on the dreadful dreadful poverty in Brazil and particularly the suffering of its children. Brazil should never have had the World Cup - there will be more as a result. And look at Qatar - all the deaths of migrant workers and all the corruption and bribery in getting the World Cup. What the royal family gave us the smoothest well- oiled PR machine that -- our-- their money can buy. As has already been said, we can't possibly know what sort of man Harry is apart from very rich, highly privileged and entitled.

It was far too dangerous for a VIP to visit the area without all the crack addicts being moved out for a few hours first. After that the whole area was hosed down - I guess that there wasn't time to repaint it. Once he'd gone, the usual occupants moved back, to a place where even the police, let alone journalists and cameramen, cannot go at night. What was the point? Celebrity photo op, I suppose

I have no idea what he is like - I know the public face he presents, but really know nothing about him. I am not sure anyone can really.

I must agree Jings he is a really genuine chap and takes interest in where he goes,didn't his Mother take the boys to a night shelter & drug centre when they where young boys ? I do think his Army Career and the bonding with the people he served with has kept him grounded much more than the Princes Andrew & Edwards of this world.

I agree jingl I think he is a genuinely nice young man, and can go out and about, without the burden of being the future king, although that is a possibility I suppose. He does seem to enjoy the company of young people and always appears to be interested in what is happening in the world. He is a little shorter than his brother, and is inclined to get lost in a crowd (apart from the hair), whereas William often seems to tower above people, and so face to face contact is a little difficult for him. Incidentally, although I loath football, if someone offered to pay me to go I would!

Sorry but he is paid to go. It's his job, hence the title 'Prince'.

Prince Harry bothered to go and that says a lot about him. I saw this on the news and he does seem to genuinely care. I think he is a Prince to be proud of (even if he does drop the odd clanger - then again, don't we all).

I would think he supports a number of charities. But, in any case, just showing that someone cares must help to brighten people's lives.

I do totaly agree with youjing he is a nice guy. but I am not sure what he has actually done to help these people, has he just visited them or does he help fund things going on there?
