Three Times a Lady (does anyone know what that means by the way - three times what?) I hope it isn't what I've always suspected it might be.

Grumppa I agree about Elvis. I was a huge fan (I was in love, in fact) when I was 14 and he was singing Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock and Blue Suede Shoes sort of stuff. The later stuff made me cringe. But I suppose he had to earn a crust!

Finally, for some weird reason, yesterday I found myself remembering all the words to, and singing, that song 'Nothing to do and nowhere to go' by that big dopey guy.

'I'm all shook up' makes me cringe, no idea why!

It's what I sometimes perceive to be behind the song that makes me dislike it sometimes. I disliked two Little Boys because I got the feeling that it was playing on peoples' sentiment to make money. As were many mentioned on here.

Never thought of what the lyrics of 'Three Times a Lady' meant before. I suspect it was about someone who had a sex change, then changed their mind, then back again several times.

Holly thanks, yes it was Leader Of The Pack [brum brum, motorbike noises off ]. I think that Three Times A Lady means she is SO ladylike that it can't be stressed too many times! I bit like moi.

Does anyone remember a song by, maybe, the Ryan Twins/brothers called Romeo and Juliet or about R & J anyway. The content was, "get back inside me Romeo she said"? Was it just me or were the words to this song 'risqué'?

Agus no it certainly didn't upset me [liked some of the Elvis songs but not Cliff] I was more of a Beatles/Stones girl.
