Has anyone else picked up on tonight`s Archers a possible liaison between Elizabeth and Roy? I was picking up all sorts of signals and worst of all it is being encouraged by Haley!! Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa surely not nice Roy

Chloe1984 sorry but I`m sure you meant dairy and not diarysorry to be so pendantic.

Iam64 Sat 19-Jul-14 16:43:28

Has he Nellie. I will try and catch up with the omnibus tomorrow morning. I imagine Peggy may live to rue the day she left her inheritance to her grandchildren, missing out their parents. imagine, if chloe is right in her scenario

Nelliemoser Sat 19-Jul-14 09:49:32

Chloe grin
I reckon Rob's parents are probably not as bad as he makes out they are. He has told them Helen's house is his.

Lilygran Sat 19-Jul-14 09:26:57

His parents will be found under the patio.

chloe1984 Sat 19-Jul-14 09:24:33

Well to say I am disappointed is putting it mildly I was hoping that Rob's parents would come to dinner and denounce him for the womanising control freak that he is. Instead we have Pat and probably Tony starting to warm to him. NO NO NO because when he finally gets control of Helen totally and she turns to her parents for help they will side with Rob eventually they will disown Helen and Rob will become a surrogate son and inherit the farm, the diary AND the new bull! Or I may just be overdramatising things as I had a broken night due to the thunderstorms early this morning. Nelliemoser glad you liked my scenario but I always did have an over active imaginationgrin

Nelliemoser Sat 19-Jul-14 08:46:27

Well I predicted to OH that Robs parents would not turn up, if they had ever been asked.
At the end of last nights episode the continuity announcer said something like .."shall we all hold hands and shout HELEN"!!!

Surely Charlie is not going to make a pass at Adam. Adam has already gone off the rails with a one night stand. Poor Ian.

Chloe1984 I do like your scenario. grin

shysal Sat 19-Jul-14 08:39:42

suzied, I have been thinking the same!

Yes, sparky, Rob is that slimy controlling liar!

suzied Sat 19-Jul-14 08:12:20

I think Charlie and Adam are getting closer ......

sparkygran Fri 18-Jul-14 19:16:08

Oh dear oh dear I don`t know what to believe - is Rob really this horrible man - ahhhhhhhhhhhhh I think I have been led up the garden path by Rob and you are all right

Anne58 Fri 18-Jul-14 15:18:28

Bloody Jennifer!

Iam64 Fri 18-Jul-14 13:29:55

sparky - I don't like Rob as I think bad boys are, well, usually just that!

grumppa Thu 17-Jul-14 19:24:34

I think Elizabeth and Roy should carry on happily as f***buddies while Hayley finds solace in the arms of Brian, who needs a break after the kitchen saga.

Missed tonight's episode; will catch up heading south on the M1 tomorrow afternoon.

sparkygran Thu 17-Jul-14 18:46:26

Roll on tonight - is there anyone else who `quite` likes Rob? Now everybody keep calm I am a sane person and an Archers fan - just stirring things up

Nelliemoser Thu 17-Jul-14 08:06:42

I missed it yesterday. I must listen at the 2pm repeat this afternoon.

chloe1984 Thu 17-Jul-14 07:29:17

I can't wait for Robs parents to arrive as it's hard to imagine what could happen. Unless he invents a motorway pile up or other disaster to keep them away from all the local produce that is going to be served. I expect Hayley will soon interrupt a 'special moment' between Roy and Elizabeth. Probably happen in the middle of Lox Fest for maximum disruption as she will run wild with the face paints through the retro tea tent and wreck all the posy bone china and cupcakes.

Nanabelle Thu 17-Jul-14 00:07:14

Good episode this evening but will Rob's parents really turn up? Bet he hasn't really invited them. As for Roy - words fail me shock

Anne58 Wed 16-Jul-14 13:16:56

Susan could do with a damn good slap!

Iam64 Wed 16-Jul-14 07:59:35

No no sparky, don't get rid of Jennifer, I'm with Nellie, I find Jen's snobbery and smug self satisfaction fun. She's also had a lot to put up with hasn't she, and somehow struggled through. I enjoyed her chats with the awful Rob's unfortunate wife, two of a kind grin

Nelliemoser Tue 15-Jul-14 22:37:02

I rather enjoy feeling irritated at Jennifer. she is a snob incarnate.

sparkygran Tue 15-Jul-14 19:06:48

I`m really sorry to say this as the Archers is currently on but could somebody please get rid of Jennifer - for years she has been boring but I have reached my limit

sparkygran Mon 14-Jul-14 19:39:46

Be sure your sins will find you out Lizzie and Roy

Culag Mon 14-Jul-14 08:08:58

I've given up listening to the Archers. It's more fun reading the updates here smile

Iam64 Mon 14-Jul-14 08:05:28

grin for merlotgran

Robotic milking reminds me of being on auto pilot, breastfeeding at 2am.

rubysong Sun 13-Jul-14 22:28:27

Papaoscar robotic milking is happening now on a farm near us. DH had a guided tour recently and saw how the cows were connected up, fed and milked automatically with no human effort. He asked where the farmer was and was told, "He's on the golf course!". The human effort obviously took place earlier, earning the money to pay for it.
