It happens all the time. Our new conservatory is just about up and running, but one half of it is the wrong glass, in spite of the builders ordering what we wanted. They fitted it anyway and re-ordered for 10 days time, but it just makes things drag on doesn't it?

This sounds just like most of my days. Nothing is ever simple is it. I ordered some canisters online to finish my new kitchen off, the arrived broken. I had some items delivered for my dd these were also broken. Have up and took them all back.

What a result we had with the wrong decking being delivered. I gave the very condenced story here, it was a lot more involved than just the wrong wood.
The result is: the Wood yard is selling the nonslip decking to us at cost.
The poor man was falling over himself with opologies

That sounds like a good plan nina! Re the phone calls - I have been asked on a couple of occasions what my occupation is and when I have said retired they have replied 'oh you don't sound that old' confused

They don't ask me either - maybe the person who once called me formidable was right. hmm What does annoy me is the constant repetition of 'Ms W' in virtually every sentence. Who trains these operatives?

They never ask me that! Perhaps I sound too intimidating...grin

Why do people on the other end of a phone line ie the bank or mobile phone company always start their call, when you eventually talk to a human, ask if they can call you by your first name. I'm getting old, they sound wet behind the ears, no you will call me Mrs. W.

So basically they screwed your whole order. I feel the need for a discount Katy

Why can't they get it right? I was rather excited this morning as we are having a new porch and front door fitted. The fitters arrived on time. Great.
Then one of them said 'did you order patterned glass for your door'. DH said 'yes'. Workman - 'oh they've sent plain'. DH 'sigh'. Workman - 'did you order glass panels for your porch door?' DH - 'yes'. Workman - 'oh they've sent wood'. Workman ' I tell you what, we'll fit them and come back tomorrow to change the panels and glass'. DH - 'we won't be here tomorrow' Workman - 'oh it'll have to be Tuesday then'. Grrrrrr. If they think they are getting paid until it's right, they've got another think coming. DH has steam coming out of his ears. He's already stressed poor man, this hasn't helped.

The 'technician' man for the double glazing came to check all was ok to do what we wanted done (this was after the salesman said it could be done.
His response " oh no mate, you can't have that" back to the drawing board.
The wood arrived for the new decking. WRONG WOOD. We had ordered non slip. That was sent back.
Got my bill from O2. Three times the usual amount!!! The girl on the phone said: you have signed up to a PREMIUM CHAT LINE!!! No I haven't.
They told me it was a scam (as if I didn't know) They refused to repay the money. I told them: ok, I'm leaving. They then said: if we give you back the money will you stay. NO NO NO.
